Derby Time Riverside Cabin

River side cabin located on the Beautiful Ohio River with several miles of spectacular open water views. Large covered porch with dog ramp into fenced in yard. Year round permanent dock. Sit by the fire & watch the moon shimmer across the surface of the water.

Everything was very nice and well stocked.We had been here but a short time and my wife said "I could live here. Easily". Such a relaxing spot. We spent the majority of our time on that wonderful deck, enjoying the sights and sounds of the river. There were a variety of birds with also ducks, geese and a loon, fish jumping, a couple of squirrels jumping and playing. Saturday there were 3 barges passing in opposite directions at once. Sunday morning, just after sunrise, two were passing at the same time. Very peaceful.Saturday afternoon we made an hour drive over to The Log Inn, in Haubstadt. Built in 1825. One of the old, original rooms, was dined in by Abe Lincoln. Worth the drive.Derby is a nice, friendly little town.

The location could not have been more perfect. The uninterrupted views of the Ohio River from the porch and yard and the sunrise were gorgeous. We enjoyed watching the migrating waterfowl moving down the river and even heard loons calling as they were migrating through the area. The cabin itself was very well maintained and furnished with everything you need for a comfortable stay (toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, trash bags, coffee, filters, salt and pepper, shampoo, dish soap, etc.)We enjoyed the games and used the firewood and fire ring each night. I would definitely recommend staying here!

We all loved staying in this beautiful cabin. Very peaceful, enjoying the fire pit while watching the river traffic. Great view of the river even from inside the cabin. And, it is conveniently located to the nearby restaurant and store in Derby.

Such a beautiful location right along the river. The house is very inviting with all of the amenities that you would need. My husband and I cooked breakfast every morning and enjoyed sitting and eating while looking at the river. We had a great view of the full Beaver moon over the river and got to watch the fish jump and seeming glow in the moonlight.

The cabin was fantastic. The kitchen had all the needed items for cooking. The beds were comfortable. The views were unbelievable. The host provided a telescope and binoculars for viewing. The porch had plenty of seating and a table for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If you have a dog they have a doggie dog from the porch that leads to a ramp going down to a fenced in yard. There is also a gate on the porch if you have small children. The yard leading down to the river has a huge rock that is a great place to sit a watch the boats go by. There is a TV, but we never watched it. The cabin also has a washer and dryer. The host provides many little extras to make your stay pleasant.

Initial impression upon entering the property is very positive, pleasing to the eye. The view of the Ohio is very satisfying. A generous kitchen and great room make the stay so enjoyable. A very large screen TV that can be easily viewed from anywhere in the kitchen or great room. The internet connection allows for your streaming pleasure. That was easy. Bedrooms were adequate and comfortable. The Bathroom is a generous size with a shower and lavatory. Bathroom is well stocked to provide you with most all of the basic essentials. A washer and clothes dryer is offered, I however did not use them. The big deck allows for the comfortable viewing of the river. I hope a solution for all the stink bugs can be applied here.A fully stocked kitchen makes for a good place to gather for a home cooked meal with the family. All the rest of the accomodations were very good. All this, and it is affordable. I hade an enjoyble time here. Thank you.
