Spacious Home Close to Downtown

This house is very well thought out! Rooms are spacious and very inviting. Each one has its own theme and has nice touches and accommodations. This home is older and has some normal old home quirks (uneven walls and ceilings, old windows and creaky floors). I personally found it very homey and charming. There is no air conditioning so be prepared to sleep with fans on (again it’s no problem for us). We felt safe in the house and the neighborhood was quiet even though parts look a bit run down. All in all we are pleased!

Deceptive, Dirty, Unproffesional

My friends and I traveled from 5 different states to get together and have a good 420 friendly girls weekend. When we showed up at the house we were greeted with the scent of STRONG bleach. Yet when we went looking around discovered no surfaces had been cleaned in what seemed like a very long time. We were not informed that there would be windows that did not close which then lead to MANY mosquitos. The front inside door knob was broken and we were not able to lock it so we only had a screen door lock. The backyard was horrible and nothing of what they described with abandoned cars and grass that was unkempt. The worst of the worst was the kitchen. The refrigerator was appalling. When we arrived there was sitting nasty water and sticky fluids on the door. These fluids continued to collect in the refrigerator all weekend. I will say I did not reach out because someone was at the house when we arrived that appeared to have just finished “cleaning” for our arrival. There were clean dishes left in the sink and products thrown about the house from what appeared to be a former event. To top it off on The Collective House Facebook page they have already begun to talk about me and my group of friends leaving reviews. They are highly unprofessional and I would never recommend anyone stay here until they do a major overhaul.

Needs work

I would like say this property has great potential. However, I wished I would have visited before I booked. The house needs to be updated from the furniture to the paint. The fridge was dirty and the radiators are extremely loud makes hard to sleep or talk over. The 3rd bedroom rains. It was so hot that the room sweated and dripped everywhere. The carpet was wet from I don't know what. Otherwise everything was ok.
