Staff acted put out to let us use the elevator to go upstairs at check in. The whole hall smelled like weed. The people above us had kids running wild all night. The drapes were half hanging off the rod. Thank God we were only there one night!

Lack of Customer Service

My son and I come to Michigan to enjoy the Great Lakes Mall. We drive from KY often to go there. We found a pet friendly hotel, was told by Hotels.com the pet fee was $25. When I arrived, instead of sneaking the dog in, I was honest, and told them I had a pet. And showed an email showing my $25 quote, however, the email was wrong, the customer was wrong, and the said the fee was $75 and cannot be waived, the room has to be steam cleaned when the dog leaves. Nicely played. But. Why was my room dirty when I checked in? Little hard black specs on the couch, floor. I asked the housekeeping in the hall to clean, she was hesitant, she was leaving. But the mess was excessive. And unacceptable. I talked her into half way cleaning it up. Wanna know how I know the room wont be steam cleaned? Look at the photos. Is the only way a room sees a broom, mop, and cleaning supplies is if theres a dog present in the room. If so. Youre welcome to the next guest. The nightly stay was $113, and then my dog was an extra $75. The math indicates its just as expensive for my dog, and the email says, we understand your pet is your family. Again. I should have just sneaked the dog in. Or even left. The mattresses I slept on had stains. The hotel rating of very good. Is very wrong. I wont come here again. The fact that the customer and email is wrong, and my room was dirty and I had to beg someone to clean it. For $75, might wanna supply poop bags so your poop deck is clean.

I like staying here because it is in a great location for our needs. The staff is friendly, the pool is beautiful, and the breakfast is good. However, during this stay, we had to move rooms due to a few issues. The staff accomodated us very well. I was disappointed that our room was not cleaned during our stay and that we did not get clean towels. As well, there many bags of garbage outside room doors that were there all weekend. I feel that the garbage bags should have been collected and removed.

They property has new owners, and she checked us in. They are making improvements to the rooms. She was very helpful checking us in, and was able to upgrade our room(for a cost). Good breakfast in the morning as well.

The general manager is evil!! She is unprofessional and Unaccountable! I got stuck in the elevator and she said that it was common!! ARE YOU SERIOUS!! Then she lied and said I did not pay for my room and told me i had to leave! she called police and everything! got caught in her lie and police made herb give me back my money before i left! She needs to be FIRED!!!!!

The room I was given did not have heat and the person at the desk gave an option to give more blankets. I had my room switched with no apology after she tried to fix the heat. No upgrade offered either. The tv in the bedroom was not working but the manager did come and fix that and apologized for that. I have stayed here twice and it’s a ok hotel. Breakfast is horrible the eggs have been burned both times.

Floor needed to be vacuumed and the pullout bed was unkept. It was a decent stay, but when paying your money, there are certain things that shouldn’t be overlooked. The staff was very friendly and tried their best to accommodate.
