This home was absolutely beautiful! We loved everything about it—except for the drive up the gravel, steep, and narrow road. That said, the view made the nerve-racking drive completely worth it! We hiked in a few nearby areas, but honestly, the view from the house might be the best of all.The home itself had every amenity you could need (and more!), which was so thoughtful considering there aren’t any stores nearby. My husband especially loved the fireplace, and I adored the friendly deer that came so close to the house. We also had a blast in the game garage.Overall, this place was peaceful, well-stocked, and unforgettable. We’d definitely stay here again!

We had a nice stay. The owners leave plenty of supplies as you are about 30 minutes from any stores. They also left us supplies to make s’mores which was thoughtful. Seen a lot of deer during our stay. Very quiet and beautiful scenery. Drive up the gravel road is a little narrow but there are some pullovers for others to pass. We never had that issue though.

We enjoyed our stay there and the wonderful views

A beautiful spot, the location was spectacular, other than the two mile trail getting to the house it didn’t help that it snowed the night before making it a little interesting getting down the mountain. The only thing I was a little bit sad with the American flag outside. It was very tattered. Being a veteran and a member of a VFW I dispose of it in a the proper way. We all enjoy our stay and it’s a beautiful place.

Absolutely Perfect

This spot was absolutely perfect for a guys weekend away from the chaos of reality. Chilling, grilling, using the fire pit and playing games in a place far enough away to not hear a single other soul was the goal and this property set new expectations for what a mountain getaway should be. The house was super clean and ready to go when we arrived. The only downside was the long drive in on the gravel road (this would be a major issue in the winter season for anyone without 4 wheel drive). For us it was a non issue even for a friend driving a Honda Civic since we visited in late June. We also wished we could have opened the garage doors as we got some really nice cool nights but the garage/game room stayed at about 75-80° even though it was mid to low 60s outside. I will forever hold this place in my memory as a possible place to visit again.

5 stars all the way around!

The location is incredible - views of the mountains and valley are just amazing. The house was very clean and well stocked, with plenty of room. The hosts are awesome - they left us homemade pumpkin roll (delicious!) and a bottle of champagne for our anniversary. If you're looking for a relaxing stay in WV, this is the place!

Loved the house!! The view was breath taking! Had a great time visiting it was so peaceful! The deer was a bonus! We fed them apples. The only thing we wish we knew a head of time is there is no grocery store close. Its about 35mins away. But we made one trip to Davis for grocery and dinner. It work out good.

Almost Heaven

This place is amazing! Such care is put into their guests stay. The house is beautiful, very clean and very well stocked. A loaf of banana bread welcomed us & a basket of fresh veggies were brought another day. Our stay was so nice.....very relaxing. The neighbors are super nice too! God willing, we will be able to return someday. Absolutely recommend this home!

Peaceful mountains

We enjoyed our stay! Beautiful scenery! Deer everyday in the yard, front and back. Almost the top of the mountain. Only issue we had was no internet service. There is wifi and hotspot, but will not connect to internet service. My daughter had to work, from her computer, and she could not stay! So my whole family was not there because of that. Decks need a little TLC. House is very nice and well equipped! If you need to disconnect from the internet, this is a wonderful place.

Beautiful getaway

We just loved this house and the stellar view. House was compact and well-designed, super clean, and well maintained and stocked. Owners are very friendly and thoughtful. There are lots of activities and games, so just hanging around the house kept the whole family happy and engaged. If you're looking for a peaceful, quiet mountain retreat, this is perfect. Agree that you would definitely need 4x4 in winter, but in summer our minivan was just fine.

Amazing!

Absolutely amazing views and incredibly quiet! This was the perfect place for my family and my friends. Great for children and for the adults. The house was perfect - incredibly clean, organized, and a great setup for the number of people advertised. The pictures do not do this house and property justice! The owners were great with communication, directions were clear and helpful, and the place was well stocked with visitors in mind. They clearly care and it shows. We are all VERY happy! This was my first vrbo experience and it sets a high bar.
