So a game of two halves really, the hotel is immaculately clean, rooms are very very small but functional and good value against other hotels but the area that the hotel is in is filthy with abandoned shops and offices, rubbish in the streets, graffiti and random smack heads wandering around so how to rate it, 5 star for the hotel and accessibility to attractions but 2 stars for this deprived and struggling part of Dublin.

The rooms are just too small! Plus there are no dressers or wardrobes so you can't unpack (we had 4 nights LITERALLY living out of suitcases which was made even harder by the lack of any surface to open them on! Not even one of those fold-up metal leg things.)

This hotel is quite basic and probably more like a hostel. The bedroom was tiny and the double bed was slotted in which meant that if one of us wanted to get out of bed we had to climb over the other one. However, it had everything we needed for one night, a bit too small for more than one night. Jazz in the bar in the afternoon was a good touch and the barman was nice. Walking distance to Temple Bar area. A simple hotel, with basic needs met.

The Henderick Smithfield was in a good location only 20 min walk to attactions. It was in a quiet location near restaurants and grocery stores.

We were assigned an accessible room, not requested nor needed. The bathroom was certainly accessible but the rest of the room was not. I don’t know how anyone would be able to maneuver to get to the desk, phone. There were no cupboards or drawers in the room, we had to put our suitcases on the floor and keep open The breakfast was good, staff friendly and place was clean

The property was clean and friendly. The breakfast was great. Our room which was an accessible room (not requested) was awful. You had to crawl into the bed which was not really big enough for 2 but being scrunched against the wall was awful. The bed only had 1 free side so 1 had to crawl out in the night like I was camping. No night stands, no place to put your suitcases and only 4 hangers per person. If a mobility limited person had that room I’m not even sure how they’d unpack. We had to live out of suitcases on the floor. Doing hair & make up I made work, but again it would not be easy for anyone with mobility issues. 1 chair at the desk which we used for my husbands cpap machine. These rooms really were inconvenient!

Hendrick is a charming oasis in an edgy neighborhood. The staff is great and the rooms are tiny but well appointed and very comfie. I'd stay there again!

Very small bedroom, beds high and not suitable for a couple to share… whoever on inside can’t get out without climbing over partner, There were also groups of young teenagers staying who thought would be fun to scream down corridors and knock other bedroom doors at 430am.

Make sure you read the description carefully! Our room was barely big enough for 2 people to walk in, let alone bring luggage in also. The walls are incredibly scuffed and dirty looking, as were our pullow cases. If you have time to unwind and watch a little tv, just a heads up that you have to have some sort of streaming app on your phone to connect to the tv. Also, when unloading our luggage to check-in, we were told to move our care from the loading zone or we'd be towed

Smithfield is fab area! We ventured out for a couple nights of our stay but spent one night at restaurants and bars in the area and they topped the tourist traps you find further in!!! Also came back to an unexpected jazz band in the lobby one afternoon which was a very welcome surprise :)

Funky hotel in a great location

I loved the character of the hotel and the location was great . Staff were fabulous and full of local tips. Only thing I would change is the choice to have firmer pillows!
