Disliked: Staff & service
When I arrived, I was turned away because the hostel had converted to a homeless shelter. I was not told anything before arriving and was left homeless myself.
I met so many amazing solo travelers like myself. I made lasting friendships, and honestly, it was harder to leave the people than the beautiful country.
Just friendly people. Great house organized nightly events. Valentina, Toma, (don’t call me sleepy) Eddie and all the other employees off the chart with their friendliness and professionalism. Could not have had a better stay. ❤️❤️❤️😊😊😊
I enjoyed it, pretty great location Dublin is a big city but I walked or took the trolly or whatever it was called everywhere. The staff had quite the knowledge and it was 9 euros for a bus pass to the airport so that saved way more than if I decided to take a cab.
Stay was great, limited in the free breakfast but as expected. Generally very clean and the rooms are in good condition. The beds aren’t the most comfortable but have plug sockets for each person in the bedroom. Staff were very helpful with free ear plugs available which I recommend can be used as it can get quite lively. If I plan on
Coming again I would stay here, great transport links from the airport too.
It was first experience using hostels and I found it really good, friendly staff, clean bedding, clean bathroom and a wide age range of guests I’m 47 myself and I ate at the breakfast table with a German couple in there 50s . Breakfast was amazing value and if you wanted to cook your super then they’re cool with that. There were events for the guests but I chose the pub. I definitely will use it again 👍

Not sure about the hostel experience
Not sure that a hostel is the best experience for me personally. It was noisy around the hostel, but that was outside and not their fault. Everyone in our party, all were staying at other hostels, had the same experience with noise outside. The place is clean and the staff are pleasant enough. I would recommend to those used to a hostel environment, but for those not, consider perhaps a different option.
It was fabulous. The Spice Girls were in town so the place was lively. The hostel is in a great location. Local eateries are wonderful. 10 mins by bus to the city centre. There are plenty of activities and Friday nights are free beer nights! yes free cans of beer served in the communal area. The staff were polite, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was wonderful with a choice of 6 cereals, Juice, bread, toast, waffles, pancakes, syrup, coffee etc.
