Staff very welcoming & knowledgeable. Beach area lovely well cared for. Large stone instead of sand. Take water shoes. Complimentary breakfast wonderful from cold to hot food. Enjoyed eating on the outdoor patio. Room a little tired but only there 2 nights. If your lucky you will get a room facing beach. Be prepared to carry your luggage down numerous stairs to main lobby & up some stairs to your room. We enjoyed our stay.

Hotel Vis is set in a beautiful location but it definitely needs an update. It looks tired. The carpeting, furniture, paint, bathrooms all need to be freshened up and modernized. The breakfast and lunches were good but the dinner buffet could be improved with the quality of food and options. Access to the Hotel Uvala Spa was wonderful! They definitely have very nice facilities! The staff was friendly and helpful!

The Vis is located a short bus ride from the chaos of Old Town. It's situated nicely for some beautiful sunsets, and shares health club privileges with the hotel across the street if you need a steam or a jacuzzi. These were provided free for me, but apparently there is an added cost if you choose to use the exercise equipment or get a massage.

There was an inconvenient and disruptive room supply issue and it was solved by the managers Vesna and Zeljleo in a very generous and accommodating manner. I am grateful to them for working it out! This is such a wonderful setting with friendly and helpful staff!

Our original room was supposed to be a sea view, it was a view of the trees.... They were unable to change my room that day as I arrived after 1700. The next morning I did get a new room, with great Balcony. Things happen, but I appreciate the staff willing to help and upgrade the room for the second night.

The view from balcony was best thing about this hotel. Very outdated, no elevator, cafeteria style dining area (not a plus) staff was polite but not very helpful. Stayed here one night before getting on a boat trip.

The hotel should start the breakfast at 6:00 AM

Friendly staff, bathroom doesn’t have shampoo just body wash. I choose to include breakfast for additional $25 per day and the restaurant opens at 7:00, my excursion/tour starts pick up at 6:00 - 630 AM so you will missed your breakfast. They pack me meal to go , a sandwich, fruits and a tetra pack drink but the sandwich tastes bland and only cost $2.00. I complained to the manager and they let me eat at the restaurant at 6:30 AM but not a full breakfast meal because some dishes aren’t ready until 7:00 AM.

Apart from being in a great location and having wonderful staff, there’s not much else one can say. Limited dining and food options and selection - nothing else apart from buffet breakfast and dinner. Dated decor with hints of minor improvements. No elevator, so had to drag luggage up and down numerous flights of stairs. I had five nights booked, only stayed one. Couldn’t wait to get out of there.
