Disliked: Amenities
Lack of a lift was a huge problem, this was the one thing that would stop me fro returning
Lovely hotel, we stayed for 2 days bars and restaurants very clean and tidy, staff were lovely food was beautiful, I had a roast beef dinner it was delicious, the room was spacious, bathroom was beautiful bed was massive and comfortable had a great night's sleep, I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone stay in Dunfermline, we will definitely back
The hotel is perfectly located in city centre just a short walk from the entrance to beautiful Glen Park and Dunfermline Abbey closeby also large public car park immediately at back of hotel. Popular hotel so need to book ahead.
Common areas, bar/restaurant areas, our room, etc were all clean, in good condition. Nice and quiet. Very walkable. The bed was overly soft, bit of a sag. Bathroom lighting could be a bit harsh. Better breakfasts elsewhere, terrible drip coffee in restaurant. But cannot beat the location, right next to a truly gorgeous park. Staff were all very, very nice. Relaxing to have a pint in the bar in the evenings.
well maintained property. nice room, lovely bathroom.
Good standard of cleanliness.
Friendly staff.
Noise from outside could be loud as our room looked onto a fairly busy road both traffic and pedestrian.
Had our evening meals in hotel. good menu, fair price.
Great location for attractions and bus station.

Not the best ive stayed at in Fact near to the wor
Nice hotel, great breakfast and lovely staff. My only grumble would be breakfast on a saturday the latest is 8.50 for ordering. When you are on holiday its nice to have a bit of a lie in .
I was there with my sister and found the room very clean bright and spacious. The staff were excellent both at reception and bar/breakfast. I couldn’t fault it .
We LOVED staying here! The food was great (especially breakfast and afternoon tea!). The staff was warm and friendly, especially the girls in the restaurant (breakfast and supper) and in particular Joe, the night manager.
Everything about our stay in The City Hotel was great from comfy bed to breakfasts x All staff very friendly and helpful x the only downside for me was the shower x the head was fixed so high up with little pressure with a wide angle spray that i found it hard to rinse my hair properly x
