We loved staying at this home so much that we expect to be back for our next Durham adventure. The place was extremely clean and home was in great condition. Even the backyard was well kept and clean to use. The host was very communicative before and during our stay. It was perfect to bring our dog and 2 year old son. They had a fenced in yard, dog bed and food bowls and the best blanket I've ever seen for the couch that we plan on buying one ourselves for our own home. The kitchen had all the equipment we needed including child size cups and utensils for our son that most restaurants don't even offer. With the supermarket nearby, we were able to grab whatever we needed for our trip without taking too much time from the vacation. The museum wasn't far and was a great excursion for our son. The trail was absolutely beautiful and we didn't have to hike far for an amazing view and swimming hole.

Our stay at Sennett’s Hole Hideaway was nothing short of perfection. The host was incredibly communicative, thoughtful, and detail oriented. We stayed for two weeks with our growing family (plus our two dogs!) while we waited to welcome our newest daughter, who was being delivered locally at Duke. It honestly felt like our own little escape from the world. The house was spotless, cozy, and so peaceful. It made it easy to settle in, relax, and soak up those last quiet moments before becoming a family of five. It ended up being the babymoon we didn’t realize we needed.Luke went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed throughout our stay. When entering the house, and seeing that it had everything we needed, we could physically feel how much love had been poured into the place. If we’re ever back in Durham, this will absolutely be our first choice. Maybe it was waking up to families of deer outside each morning, or taking evening walks to the Eno River right from the backyard, but this place will always hold a special place in our hearts. It became a moment in time where things seemed to slow down, and we got to live in a dreamy nature filled baby bubble.
