The Space:
Under the Vines in Earnscleugh by Tiny Away is located in a rural town just a 2 hr drive away from Catlins, nearby Clyde Dam, Dunstan House Clyde, Olivers Restaurant, and Flat Top Hill Conservation Area, to name a few attractions.
It's one of the best tiny house rentals in Earnscleugh, a cozy 139 square-foot tiny home with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste-holding tank, hand basin, and shower (gas heated for hot showers).
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the tiny home and are welcome to walk amongst the vines. However, please stay clear of sheds and other vineyard operations.
Guests are welcome to purchase honey and wine made on the farm; paid in cash. If you are interested, please make prior arrangements with the land host.
The Neighborhood:
Under the Vines in Earnscleugh by Tiny Away is one of the best tiny house rentals located in the quiet neighborhoods of Central Otago. Where you can visit restaurants, vineyards, and popular attractions like the Clyde Dam.
If you are looking for a cycling circuit, Clyde is a 2 km and a 10km cycle to Alexandra along the River Track.
Getting Around:
By car:
- 2hr 30 min drive to Dunedin
- 1hr 10 min drive to Queenstown.
By public transport: There are great cycling trails at the boundary of the property.
Other Things to Note:
- Pets are not allowed
- No smoking allowed inside the tiny home
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- Wifi is not available, but there is cellular coverage
- Frost fighting wind turbines are noisy in Spring and late-April; bring earplugs
- Please note that there are trip hazards all over the farm; exercise caution when walking
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge
- We advise guests not to swim in the pond, but if you must, please do so at your own risk. Please be aware that we swim in the irrigation pond regularly.
Important note:
- Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban
- The property is a working vineyard. At times, there will be workers and machinery on site. Please stay clear of their operations.
- Please respect our neighbour's privacy and stay on the cabin side of the vineyard; otherwise, you are likely to walk onto our neighbour's property.
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the cassette toilet and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
