Good stay

Location is ideal and central, close to the Edinburgh castle and holyrood palace. Has a kitchenette with microwave and a decent size fridge, food is expensive in Edinburgh No regular housekeeping, you have to drop off your trash yourself and the hotel charges an extra 20 pounds for cleaning if stay is less than 8 days. You have to pay extra for breakfast. Parking is nearby for a charge and is expensive Beds were ok, could have been more comfortable. Overall stay was good, front staff was very helpful with requests and refills. Hotel was quiet and clean.

The staff were friendly and helpful, the room and whole building were clean and everything was in good working order. The television however was old and slow- difficult to really use because of this. Otherwise it was excellent!

Their staff are their best asset

We’ve never stayed in an international apartment before and did not know what to expect. The property is lovely, the rooms are satisfactory, the staff is their best asset. Incredible staff who are all dedicated to going above and beyond. We left a bag behind in error, and they went out of their way to return the bag to us. I am very grateful.

We stayed 5 nights here and found the location ideal to visit a lot of tourist attractions. There are numerous choices for dining options in close vicinity. There is a grocer within 2 minutes walk. We had a twin bed studio and found the beds comfortable. The front of the hotel is the older/original building and the rest looked like a newer addition.

The Royal Mile has become a zoo, but it's also the spine of Edinburgh (literally), and so a hotel on an extension of the Royal Mile that's both centrally located and not quite so frenetic is a great compromise. The service was very good, the rooms clean, and the cooking facilities and full-size fridge meant we ate out when we wanted to, not because we had to. The included breakfast was about average (please find a better supplier for the consistently stale pain au chocolat!) but filling, and we found everything easily walkable, from the castle to Arthur's Seat (okay, climbable) to the Water of Leith. I'd happily stay here again if we return to Edinburgh.

This was a great place to stay. The staff was very nice and friendly. It was close to everything. I was able to walk everywhere and felt safe. I would definitely stay here again.

These are more geared toward longer term stays including a small kitchenette, laundry downstairs, and dishwasher. It was a great stay overall. Very centrally located, but still quiet. Clean and comfortable.

This was our first time traveling to Edinburgh from Canada, and we were highly impressed with everything this hotel (which was a last-minute kind of booking we made) offered. It is close to the train station, and is an easy walk to the main attractions, and getting to our pick-up points for our day tours/walking tours was easy. Fantastic Location! The manager offered us a free bottle of Chardonnay and the hotel had everything we needed for a meal indoors (with take-out food) and was quite cool. There is a grocery store nearby, pubs close by, and not too noisy. Recommend strongly!

Great location. The breakfast is really good. Staff is very helpful at the front desk. There’s even a place to do your laundry in the basement. I really like this place. It’s a lot cheaper than a hotel.

It was not clear to me from the hotel listening that in order to have your room cleaned you have to pay extra. I was given a room with mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. When I raised this issue with reception and asked for the room to be cleaned for no charge as there was mold in the room, I was refused this request. Room was spacious but without housekeeping included - it was not worth it.

Great place to stay on the Royal Mile, not far from the souvenir shops, Holyrood Palace, and St Giles. The hotel also has a luggage room to hold suitcases before check in if needed. Only downers were that the air conditioning in our room was difficult to figure out, and one of the teacups provided was dirty. There was also only hand wash soap in the shower. Still a great stay though!
