The rooms were both really filthy. Lots of dust on top of the wardrobes, units and window sills. The carpets were so dirty and hadn’t been hoovered. The shower tray was dirty and the bathroom floor too. The tea and coffee facility was full of paper bits of the previous guests and full of sugar everywhere. Very poor standard of the Marriott. These rooms are overpriced and should have been checked on a regular basis. Spoiled our weekend in Edinburgh which was meant to be top notch.

The tv wouldnt let you connect to it, the plug in the bathroom wouldnt work and the room was connected to another room with very little noise cancellation, other than that, the staff were nice, beds were comfy, bathroom was fully stocked and great size with walk in shower, convenient location and easy check in and check out service

The hotel is in an outstanding location. Easy walk too many great sites, including the Royal Mile. Also conveniently located by many transportation options. Hotel staff was very friendly the restaurant has good options for dinner. The breakfast buffet is very good. Although my one criticism would be that the cost varies if you book it 24 hours in advanced it’s £17.50. If you go the day of it’s £22 I don’t get that the rooms are spacious and quite comfortable kudos to the housekeeping staff they were very much on top of everything cleaned my room every day. I requested it with the exception that they did not change the sheets other than that they were great. I would highly recommend the hotel.
