The style of the Malmaison hotels is something I love. Very comfortable rooms, staff were all very helpful and friendly. The location brilliant, restaurant food was excellent. The only let down was the service in the bar, absolutely loved the decor and ambience there but service was very slow, tables not cleared of glasses, spoiled the experience

The hotel was excellent, it was really modern and well located. The rooms were very clean and comfortable (we had a courtyard facing room which was also very quiet). The reception staff were very friendly, helpful and had excellent local knowledge. The choice and quality of breakfast was exceptional and again, the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Prior to our stay, we couldn’t find any information on the hotel website regarding car parking, so paid £9 to park opposite the hotel for about 5 minutes while we checked in. We then found out that and the hotel has an arrangement with the St James shopping centre car park, and they offer a large is discount for hotel customers.

Very friendly and efficient staff at check in. We arrived at about 12:30, expecting to leave our bags and return at 15:00 to check into our room but our room was ready so we were able to check in earlier. We booked for two nights and a nice touch was offering us a drink at the bar if we did not have our room serviced. We cannot comment upon the food as we did not eat in the hotel. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean with a lovely big bathroom. The hotel's location is excellent for shopping, sightseeing and has lots of dining options within easy walking distance. It's a short walk to the hotel from Waverly station and there is a tram stop within 100m of the hotel. Overall the hotel was great to stay in and is in a fantastic location, we will definitely return

This boutique hotel has great decor, service and a wonderful central location near Princes Street Gardens. It was also quiet which we much appreciated. The continental breakfast was quite good (there was a cooked option too). We only ate dinner once at the restaurant as there were many options available in the area. The tram comes directly from the airport to St. Andrews Square too...very convenient. We would definintely stay at this hotel again.
