We had a quick check in the reception staff in fact all the staff from dining room staff to the cook cleaners etc were all extremely mannerly and friendly. Room was very nice and was a really comfortable temperature. Fantastic shower with hot water at all times. Tea coffee making facilities water and biscuits. Couldn’t recommend this hotel enough and will definitely stay again when in Edinburgh.

Couldn't figure out the Aircon to put heating on in the room, even using the internet didn't help. Room was spacious and clean. Good location for us 10 mins walk from Haymarket train station and 20 mins walk from city centre. Good breakfast, and good staff

Room temperature was awfully uncomfortable - the in room thermostat controls are disabled for guest use and require hotel staff to manage them remotely. I phoned the reception team in the night who responded to the request however every hour it would revert back to being incredibly hot and stuffy. I had to phone every hour throughout the night and we got no sleep. The air vents were also banging and rattling all night creating lots of noise. Not the stay we expected or wished for and certainly not for £200 per night!!
