This was a sufficient alternative accommodation for the needs we had as our first location was full. The staff made this stay the best part. The entire place was 5/5 clean. The breakfast was quite average. Felt a bit small and dated in comparison to other places nearby. No pool - no gym was disappointing.

When we walked into our room you could immediately smell cigarette smoke (despite signage that said “No Smoking”). I returned to front desk and we were assigned a different room right away and we had no problems after that. Staff member was very accommodating.

They charged me $120 after I checked out! I phoned them and the assistant manager really didn’t know why. When I checked out they looked over the room and said the towels were dirty ( from my girlfriend’s makeup and blood from my scratch on my finger). They didn’t charge me for that at the time of check out. They refunded $70 with no explanation and the manager hasn’t returned my calls. Seems like fraud to me. Not impressed at all!

As a large family it was fantastic to find a hotel that had three real beds in one room (no pull out couch!). The beds were comfortable too. The layout was great for our stay and the kitchenette was a nice bonus. The breakfast had many options and gave us fuel for the day. This property is a reasonable commute to west Edmonton area. We didn’t explore around the hotel but there were fast food options next door and across the street. We did notice some highway noise before we went to sleep, but did not keep us from a good night sleep. We would stay again!

Excellent at addressing issues

This hotel never ceases to impress me. I’ve stayed here before and never had a problem with anything. This time, I had very noisy neighbours. But being a long weekend, I guess it is to be expected. But after asking nicely for a room change, the lovely lady on the front desk accommodated my request. I was very impressed. The hotel was recently renovated and it’s clean, modern and comfortable. Days Inn Stony Plain has earned my loyalty.
