The location was perfect, located in the heart of Egg Harbor. The house was CLEAN and updated and super cute inside and out. Each one of the (5) bedrooms had en suite bathroom. The kitchen had a Large island which was perfect for gathering around and prepping food. The house was fully stocked with kitchen items (dinnerware, pots, pans, utensils, serving bowls, etc). It also had a dishwasher and washer and dryer. They provided beach towels which came in handy when we had our beach day. We were able to AirPlay our laptop to the TV in the den. It also came with plenty of parking behind the property. We really enjoyed going to the historical house next door Cupola for coffee in the morning. We would definitely stay there again. 10/10

The owners were wonderful each step of the way. The house was very clean. The best I’ve seen of all the rentals we’ve stayed in. Great property with each couple having their own bedroom and bathroom. Check in and check out were a breeze.

Well-Stocked Home with Tons of Room

Great property in a perfect Egg Harbor location. There is a lot of room, with a large deck, great kitchen, den, living area, the 5 bedroom/bathrooms, and more. Outdoor space is very close to other public areas, which was never an issue for us, and can be helpful in that there is a lot close by.Temperature controls on each floor, and comfortable beds. We did discover that the sun starts to shine before 4:30 AM, so the lovely windows that are all over the house let a bit of light in to start off your day.Home had lots of tissues, towels, TP, trash bags, dishes, and all the stuff you may need for your stay---probably the best stocked of ANY VRBO we've stayed in. VRBO had some issues with the way they had set up our reservation, but the owner/manager Greg was fantastic to work with and got it all straightened out. Communication all around was great.Very simple check out process; again, probably the easiest we've ever had.Highly recommended, and you'll have a great time.

Home Port is the perfect accommodation for five couples

Home Port is an elegant home that perfectly accommodates five couples with ease! The home is centrally located to several shops/restaurants and a quick walk to the waterfront. The home is beautiful, inside and outside! Each bedroom has an en suite bathroom and the rooms were spacious and well-appointed. The third floor had a nice sitting area with a mini-fridge (great for late night beverages) and the second floor had balcony access to catch sunsets out over the water! The kitchen is large and tended to be the gathering point for all while the study was nice to seek some solitude and find a book amongst the hundreds to read. The craftsmanship displayed throughout the home really sets it apart from other locations. The host was quick to respond to inquiries. Our group was extremely impressed with Home Port!!!

Everything exceeded our expectations. Extremely clean, very spacious (more than appears on photos), every possible amenity including well stocked kitchen, lots of lines in bathrooms and beach towels, generous supply of paper towels, toilet paper and cleaning supplies in kitchen. Excellent location! Even cafe next door with coffee, bakery and breakfast and lunch sandwiches . Also several restaurants across the street and market a few blocks down.

Wonderful house

We spent 2 nights with 4 other couples who were family. This house is perfect. The 5 bedrooms each with private bathrooms were great. The house was really roomy and extremely clean. The kitchen and dining room were very big. The owner was very easy to communicate with. We would love to go back again.

Door County Gathering

We had a wonderful stay. The house was spotless and the kitchen well set up. We explored during the day and made dinner at night. Enjoyed having wine and relaxing. Everyone having their own bathroom was so nice. Thank you! Ps. Lake Michigan is so beautiful. We enjoyed the trolley just down the hwy and lighthouse we explored. Everyone was so nice.

Beautiful home in Door County WI

We went on a girls trip to Door County and Greg's home was the perfect place to stay. Every morning we had coffee on their porch and ended our evening watching the sunset from the porch. Plus the house was very clean and Greg checked in with me during the stay to see if we needed anything which was very appreciated. All of us girls would recommend staying at this house.

Excellent Space for Large Group

The owners of this unique house went out of their way to make us comfortable in every way. Allowing us to check in early because of the rain to a bottle of Port wine upon our entrance! We will definitely be staying here again! The beds were amazing also having a bathroom for every guest was the Best! The area was great for walking distance to nearby bars and restaurants!

Wonderful Place to Experience Door County

This property, “Home Port Door County” is the perfect place to stay for enjoying everything that Door County has to offer—especially for 5 adult couples or large families. Mel and Greg have converted this 1900 building into a pristine, beautiful home with all of the amenities. They are excellent hosts who make everyone feel welcome. No detail is left unattended. It is more lovely and welcoming than the photos display. It is a short walk to shops, restaurants, and a super market, and there are dedicated parking spaces. A perfect place for your stay in Door county.

Fantastic Egg Harbor in-town location

We recently spent a week at this property with our five kids, spouses and grandkids. It was a wonderful week with zero issues with the house (unlike other past Door County rentals!) The house has been recently renovated and has high quality finishes and appointments throughout including floor by floor (3 floors) digital HVAC controls which kept everyone comfortable. The house has a total of five bedrooms all with ensuite bathrooms which is a really nice amenity especially with young families. The kitchen has nice cabinetry, stone tops and newer appliances including a dishwasher and a SubZero refrigerator/freezer (which you don’t often see in rentals) The house is stocked with books, games, playing cards and even poker chips (which we availed ourselves of nightly). All the bathrooms include wall-mounted body-wash/shampoo/conditioner dispensers like at a spa. And the owner generously stocked the house with toilet paper, dishwashing detergent, laundry detergent etc. One other great thing about this house is its in-town location. Egg Harbor has a lot of quality restaurants and we were able to walk nightly with our group to dinners -- it was nice not always being reliant on cars, especially having little kids with us. We’ve rented a half dozen homes in Door County over the years and this one is the highest quality home of the lot. You won't want to leave. We highly recommend it.

Wonderful property in a great location! Everything was so clean and inviting…parking wasn’t even an issue and we had5 cars. We would have liked to see more basic items in the kitchen…we were unable to make blended drinks as there was no blender. In addition, a hand mixer needs to be added. We planned on making some dishes, desserts, and salads, many had cream cheese however with no mixer, our dishes were very chunky and disappointing. The bedrooms were spacious however we were very upset that you assumed the 10 of us all wanted to sleep with another person in the same bed. Although we only had 10 guests for some of the nights, your site indicates sleeps up to 14 guests. Where would those other 4 people sleep? There was not a pull-out couch nor a futon for others to use. We were baffled and disappointed that some people had to sleep on the floor. Nice place but I don’t think we’ll be back. Sorry

Family vacation

Our family enjoyed a wonderful long weekend in this beautiful home in Egg Harbor. An extra plus is the owner supplied beach towels and beach chairs. I hope that we will be able to vacation here again!

Beautiful Home w/ great proximity

We had a family get together from all over the country for my mom's 70th birthday and our stay was seemless from check in to check out. It is a beautiful home in walking distance to everything Egg Harbor has to offer! Highly recommend! The owners were very responsive and thoughtful!
