The hotel itself is quite a historic building and I do like the atmosphere. The bathroom was modern and shower very good. However, no toilet roll holder and soap/shampoo dispensers not working. Food was ok, nothing spectacular. Though my server was really pleasant and friendly. Down side was the lift was broken and i had to haul baggage up stairs with no offer of help from reception. The heating in the room was not working and windows were not closing, which meant it was cold (even with a portable heater)

Had a wonderful stay at the Old Ground Hotel in Ennis. From the moment we arrived, everything felt welcoming and well looked after. The hotel is full of character, beautifully maintained, and the service was warm, professional, and attentive throughout. The absolute highlight of our stay was the resident cat—incredibly friendly and affectionate, always ready for a cuddle. It added such a special, heart-warming touch to an already lovely experience. A charming hotel with exceptional hospitality (and the sweetest furry host!). Would happily return and highly recommend it.

Used for food and it was busy as food was good But no option to book in bar but.there was for some .
