people were allowed to smoke in rooms near me and it was not stopped. I had to lie in the cold with the window opem all night. Discovered it was a seminar group allowed to do what they wanted/ Run down hotel.

入室した時にはすでに空調がついていて快適な温度になっており、疲れていたので大変助かりました。また、エレベーター正面の部屋だったのにほとんど出入りの音も聞こえず、防音がしっかりしていました。防音は部屋の快適度を左右するので、高く評価したいです。

Intercity Hotel was perfect for my quick trip to Essen. This was probably the best hotel I stayed at in Europe that provided comforts of US based hotels. The proximity to the train station was perfection.

Rude and bad behaviour at the desk.

The behaviour at the desk was really poor. They treat us like if we were stupids. At the arrival, it was 30 min to 3pm and they answer as in a really bad and rude mood saying that the room was not ready and was not 3pm so they asked us to read the conditions of the hotel without complaining anything! It is a hotel that is placed in my non-return list
