I have wanted to stay at the Gordon on each of my visits to Eugene, and finally had the chance. The hotel and restaurant staff was very friendly and helpful. The bartender at the bar, was not friendly. He was rude and really seemed to us that he was annoyed we were there and had to serve us. We were very happy to discover a secret bar at the hotel that had a very fun staff. I highly recommend you find the secret bar if you stay there. On one of our nights, we had been asleep for about an hour and were woken up by what sounded like the people above us running back and forth across the floor and jumping up and down. There was so much force to it that it was causing the ceiling in our room to squeak. I called the front desk to tell them about it and was told that the noise was coming from the restaurant above us and that it would be closing soon. This only happened on one of the nights we were there, so I'm not sure what was happening in the restaurant that night. I'm not sure if I would stay here again. If I did, I would ask not to stay in room 611 again, but I would stop in for the secret bar and I would also like to say that the bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept on.

The Gordon is located near many fun restaurants, shops, etc. The welcome beer/wine & always available lobby snacks are a bonus. Rooms are spacious & nicely decorated. Great dining options in the hotel itself. Only down side is the frequent train horns, but I slept through many.

Great location and great hotel.

It is a hotel we will stay at again. The only downside we had during our stay was a construction project below us. We never saw it but could hear it at 7am in our room. We did stay the night in the middle of the week. Again, we will stay here again. Great hotel.

Cute hotel,but the sound and staff make it a no go

It was difficult to sleep with the sounds on the street - trucks and early morning deliveries... Also while it had a cute little art bar - it was not stocked really with anything. We did enjoy the snacks downstairs and the convenience of the location. The restaurant upstairs was nice and the view fantastic but the breakfast downstairs was down right terrible. Also not being able to wirelessly hook up to the printer was a drag, having to wait for the front desk to be able to grab us the documents we needed was unnecessary. It was also clear that the staff and general manager were more interested in their interactions and loud communication than connecting with their guests. Overall I probably wouldn't stay here again, as sleep and a good breakfast are much easier to come by at other properties.
