The Neighborhood:

Situated in the heart of the Granite Belt Wine Region, Ballandean is a much sought after destination, surrounded by wineries on Eukey road, we are easily accessible to the region’s award winning boutique wineries, craft breweries and stand out restaurants. The Granite Belt has all the right ingredients for food and wine indulgence in front of roaring open fires. Girraween means “place of flowers” and the best time to visit, is just in spring, when the flora is at its most prolific. In summer, you can expect temperatures to be 10 degrees, on average cooler than Brisbane. Welcome to our backyard, where the only thing you need to do is slow down, breathe deep and experience the essence of country life.



Getting Around:

Girraween Country Inn is 8 kms from Ballandean and 20kms from Stanthorpe. We are on the Granite Belt Highlands Scenic Drive, between Stanthorpe and Ballandean. Direct access to the Girraween National Park.

How to get to Girraween Country Inn:

New England Highway

Coming from either north or south, take the turnoff to Eukey Road at Ballandean Tavern. We are 8km along Eukey Road. Please note there is no phone signal past Symphony Hill winery. Symphony Hill Winery is on the right-handside. We are approximately 2 kms past Symphony Hill Wines, on the same side of the road. Look out for our blue sign, on the left-handside of the road, saying Girraween Country Inn 200 metres. Look for deep blue rendered fence and wrought iron gates with multiple flags and a long driveway and a two storey building at the end of the driveway, with all the lights on.

Coming from Stanthorpe

Go over the Stanthorpe bridge and take the 2nd turn to the left, the Storm King Dam turnoff. This road becomes Eukey Road. Drive 20km along Eukey Road, until you come to a township called Eukey. Keep driving another 5kms and we are on the left-handside. Look out for our blue sign, on the left-handside of the road, saying Girraween Country Inn 300 metres. Look for deep blue rendered fence and wrought iron gates with multiple flags, on the left-handside of the road and a long driveway and a two storey building at the end of the driveway, with all the lights on.



Other Things to Note:

The Ginyard in next door and we are surrounded by wineries in Eukey Road.

Parking on the Grass next to the Inn. Otherwise you can park under the shed where the EV Chargers are located



We would be delighted if would like to join us for dinner during your stay. Our menu is on our web site and is set nightly changing menu, featuring local produce. To make a reservation, please go to our web site and press "book a table". (We are also on Open Table under Stanthorpe). Let us know how many adults and children are wanting to dine, how many courses and any dietary requirements and/or allergies. Of course you can always call us to book and discuss your requirements as well. Bookings will need to be made online before 4.30pm for same day bookings. If you have already made a booking and let us know all of these requirements, please disregard.
