Excellent brand new hotel

Lovely brand new hotel. Comfortable bed, well thought through room with full length mirror, plenty of storage and the mirror in the bathroom doesn’t fog when you’ve had a shower. Little things like that make a big difference. I really like the eco friendly focus and it was totally fine to walk to the water, tea and coffee station on the floor. Staff were more than helpful, and the hotel was beautifully clean. Water pressure could be better.

Mixed feelings about this place

Brand new hotel. Parking full so had to park in an bay for electric cars. Excellent staff at check-in. No tea/coffee/water facilities in room, they're all available on the landing... Err this is supposed to be a 4-star hotel... Small room but surprisingly cool despite the hot weather outside. The beds were fitted with winter duvets so thick you couldn't sleep and when removing the duvet from its cover, then it was too cold. You cannot control your room temperature yourself apparently. Makes absolutely no sense. Breakfast ok but deffo not worth the £20 they're asking for it. I wouldn't stay here again unless they made it possible to control the room temperature from your own room.

Disappointing Service Overshadowed an Otherwise Lo

The hotel itself is lovely — clean, comfortable, and well-presented. Unfortunately, the service fell far below expectations, with the exception of one helpful staff member I dealt with during my stay. While the food quality was generally good, any attempt to give feedback was either ignored or met with defensiveness, as though raising a concern was unacceptable. For instance, we were given incorrect information about breakfast times and arrived at 10:05am on our first day, only to find it had closed at 10am. The only response from staff was a dismissive suggestion to “try somewhere else” — no offer of a takeaway option like a pastry or coffee, which would have been a simple gesture. Dinner was also disappointing — the dish we ordered was incredibly salty and completely inedible. When raised, it was merely acknowledged with a shrug from the chef and no offer of a discount or resolution. Again, the underlying tone was defensive rather than solution-focused. Service should be about listening to and valuing guests’ experiences. Sadly, at this hotel, that attitude seems to be lacking. Given that I frequently use IHG hotels for work travel, this experience has been eye-opening, and I’ll be rethinking our company’s use of this particular location moving forward.

Clean new and comfortable

Smooth check-in, room very clean and comfortable bed. There is a drinks station which is a new concept but it was well stocked and very good to avoid waste.

Won't use again!

£20 for breakfast that was not ready at the advertised time. £10 to park at the other end of the industrial park. No tea or coffee in the room, have to go down the corridor to a station with an overflowing bin. I stay in the area weekly, was my first and last visit.

I love the concept of sustainability here and it has been implemented extremely well, whilst maintaining high standards. The tea/coffee/hot chocolate area on each floor rather than in rooms gave more variety, better quality and the refillable water bottle in the room to use for the filtered water at the refreshment station was excellent. The bed was so comfy and the room was excrptionally bright, airy and clean. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming!

Parking is expensive £10 per night. Entrance to hotel car park could be better sign posted. No desk or dressing table in the room, had to use small table to put jewellery, keys, & drinks on. Tea & coffee making facilities are in the corridor not the room. Had heck of a job to connect wifi, had to ask reception in the end. Soundproofing not great. Bed was big and comfy, pillows were lush! Funky lighting on mirrors was nice & room was spotlessly clean but overall I was disappointed with my stay.
