Best Family Holiday Ever!

Wow! The photos do not do this villa justice, superb quality and outside space. From the moment we walked in we just stood for a few minutes to take in how beautiful it is. We wanted for nothing as the range of Living, Sleeping, Kitchenware, BBQ features etc. made staying and entertaining a breeze. When my mum (83) arrived for a few days she said this was indulgent and luxurious and did not want for anything. High praise indeed knowing my mum.Thank you so much and we will hopefully we will be back for my 60th birthday year in 2 years time.

Algarve Family Trip 2025

The property is an excellent location to access the beautiful Algarve beaches and towns. The property is well equipped and we enjoyed the outside bbq and entertaining space very much. The pool is lovely and was a good size even for 8 guests. The bedrooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable. The kitchen is extremely well equipped and made food preparation for 8 very easy.The communication with the owner and agent was very good.We would not hesitate to book the villa again.

Great Villa Perfectly Furnished and Well Maintained

What a lovely villa, it suited us completely. Quiet , well equipped and comfortable. Pool area was perfect for us and our friends and having good WIFI and TV as well as outside entertainment meant that no matter what we did we had appropriate resources. Had a small issue getting into the Villa, but all was good at the end. Will definitely be going back.

Paradise

Wonderful home with a wonderful view. Large, private, villa just up the hill from charming Santa Barbara de Nexe. Only 20 minutes to the Faro area beeches. If you are a cyclist, the rolling hills of Algarve are right outside your door. BTW, a day in Seville is only 2 hours away. We had six adults and 1 teenager and it never felt crowded.

As my taxi driver said, this is the proper Algarve and he wasn't wrong. Isolated but close enough for a 20 minute walk to the local town, we (5 adults 2 children) had a great stay. Everything that we needed was on site and we were only a short drive away from anything else we ran short of. Great that the taxi's recognise the villa, never short of transport. All in all a relaxing and enjoyable break

Wonderful layout and size, so well equipped and a real home-from-home.

We were a party of 9, 6 adults and 3 children with ages ranging from 2 to 8. We have had many villa stays across Europe and beyond and Casa Lucia was, without doubt, one of the best. The layout and size was perfect, meaning we could be together when we needed to be but separate as well. The level of equipment was outstanding from crockery and cutlery to the 3 fridges and 2 barbecues, one gas and one charcoal. The pool was wonderful, large and clean and didn't feel crowded even with all 9 of us in at once. Add to this the sports equipment (including a purpose made mini football pitch) with pool inflatables, balls and buoyancy aids and even buckets and spades to take on trips to the beach and it was more than the full package. Easy access to a couple of restaurants and a supermarket in Santa Barbera as well as larger shops and facilities in Loule meant the location was ideal too. I am only sad that we may not be able to go back as we will be a party of 10 next time and need another bedroom. A memorable week for sure.

Family Holiday

The Villa is superb. The whole family loved the pool and the table tennis. The kitchen inside is very well equipped and it was great to have an outside kitchen. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and there are more than adequate wardrobes , drawers etc., The grounds outside are well kept and there is a grass pitch for football. The roof area is stunning although we didn’t use it very much due to the very hot weather whilst we were there. The dining area outside was used all the time by us. The sitting room is very comfortable and there are various games and books. We all voted it to be one of the best villa we have stayed in. We would definitely love to come back.

Large and well appointed villa with lovely pool

The kitchen is massive and so is the living room. Large BBQ area to the side is great for the man of the party. Swimming pool clean and well maintained. Large bathrooms and enough space for everybody. Large telly kept the kids happy too.

Perfect stay

Good communications from the owners and their agents. Great to be welcomed on arrival by the property manager and brilliant welcome pack no matter what time of day you may arrive. We have stayed in Santa Barbara de Nexe many times so know it well and that Charneca would suite us. Casa Lucia actually outstripped our expectations. The perfect outside areas, great views, pool, shaded terraces, BBQ etc etc, inside the villa is extremely comfortable, spacious well equipped to a high standard and as sports fans we loved the access to Sky TV. Le Marquis restaurant worth a visit. Many thanks from all the family to Lucy and Julia you have a very beautiful villa.

Another fabulous stay

Second holiday staying at this excellent villa. Modern, well equipped with excellent facilities . Updated since last visit also - bedrooms are spacious with plenty of wardrobe space. Living space is well furnished and the outside area and pool are stunning. Another garden space has been added with Hoopoe’s on the lawn every day. Tucked away in the hills and not overlooked with everything you need close by. Excellent holiday for the family, we shall return again!

A wonderful family time

We have just returned from an amazing family holiday in Casa Crow/Lucia. We spent 7 Days in this beautiful property. Our impression when we arrived was that pictures do not do justice of the real space and comfort offered by the house: It is huge!!!! We received a welcome pack which had all the essentials to get you started including excellent wine and local products. The house comes with EVERYTHING you will need. In special, the kitchen and BBQ. They are l fully and newly equipped. There is plenty of working surfaces, 2 ovens, 3 fridges and a great terrace to eat alfresco. As we traveled during the pandemic, the house provided some face masks, sanitizer and hand wash. The pool had a great size and the outdoor space provided ample opportunity for our party to enjoy different activities. Make sure you study the directions given by the property managers to arrive to the house as GPS systems can get a bit confused. We highly recommend this property ! Thank you Lucy and Richard!

Excellent & well equipped villa

Stayed at this lovely villa for 2 weeks during August/Sept 2019. The villa is perfect for a family holiday and was well equipped with all modern ammenities. The bedrooms were well furnished, bright, clean and of a good size. The kitchen was smart and modern with all you could possibly need and the bathrooms likewise. A similar story outside with a large pool (maintained regularly) and patio area with ample sunbeds (of good quality) and seating areas. There was also an upstairs area perfect for sundowners or a space to get away from kids and family! Any assistance required was smartly addressed by Richard the villa manager. A great stay in a great villa, we will be back!

Fabulous villa!

We had a fantastic time at this villa which was exactly as advertised and exactly what we needed for 3 generations aged 6 to 81. The place was absolutely spotless which was a huge relief after a previous holiday rental where cleanliness was not a priority! Many happy hours were spent by the pool and the two terraces - upstairs for sundown in particular! We know the area well and will definitely be back as could not find a single thing that was not perfect ! Thank you Lucy and Julia - see you again !

EVERY THING YOU COULD EVER WANT FOR A RELAXING HOLIDAY!!!!

This is the second stay at Casa Lucia, the villa is so well equipped for the perfect villa holiday. The villa is very spacious and exceptionally clean. Bright new kitchen and also a new, very comfortable terrace for perfect evening entertaining to watch the sunset with a cool glass of wine. We have stayed in many villas but this one is by far the best we have stayed in. Thank you .

Great spacious and well equipped villa

Casa Crow is a wonderfully equipped and tranquil villa. There is plenty of space for two families, there was 6 of us but 8 could quite easily have stayed. Lucy and her team were a delight to deal with and the welcome pack was a nice touch and well appreciated. I would suggest a car is essential, although Uber is available and they are able to find it using location rather than address (just make sure you have it saved for the return trip) Any (very few and small) problems were dealt with very quickly and efficiently. The new kitchen is fantastic, lots of space, storage and well stocked. There are two fridges which really help, and save trips to the supermarket. (Continetel ~10mins, Apolonia ~15mins) Apolonia is recommended. There is also an outside fridge by the BBQ. Around the outskirts of Almancil, you will also find some fabulous restaurants. For some reason there were a lot of wasps (not normally an issue). We found keeping the outdoor space clean and using Citronella candles (in buckets) very effective. The pool (heated) was used day and night, really big and deep too. There is a wonderful roof terrace which we made good use of, the BBQ (Gas and Charcoal) is a great size, with plenty of seating and beds around the pool. The Table Tennis Table also got good use (might be worth bringing your own bats and balls) WiFi was quick and plenty of coverage. Lots and lots of TV Channels although we rarely had it on. A really good villa, which more than helped make it a great holiday. I'm sure we will return soon.

Well appointed villa

The villa is well appointed and comfortable. There is a large swimming pool and the poolside terrace has an abundance of seating. This, coupled with the outside barbecue area, makes the villa ideal for families. We found the rooftop terrace to be a delightful place to relax with a drink, to catch the last rays of sun each evening. The air conditioning was very much appreciated, particularly as the temperature around the pool reached 47 degrees during our stay!

Really lovely Villa

We were looking for a villa that was inland, quiet, heated pool and lots of space for the kids. This villa didn't disappoint. The villa was huge, the pool/terrace area was lovely and we also enjoyed the roof terrace with the beautiful views. Villa had everything we required for our self catering holiday and was set up well for our baby. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you

A perfect holiday

My wife and 2 children could not have had a better holiday. The villa is absolutely perfect both indoors and outdoors. It is only 20 minutes to Faro airport, 20 minutes to the beaches near Quinta Do Lago and Vale Do Lobo, and the local supermarket has everything you need. there are also some super restaurants very nearby, most notably Le Marquis (http://www.restaurant-le-marquis.com). The views are amazing, particularly from the incredible roof terrace (ideal for evening drinks), and the outdoor furniture is plentiful and luxurious. The owners also made sure that they were contactable if anything went wrong, not that anything did go wrong. All in all we couldn't have had a better two weeks and look forward to returning. Huge thanks to the owners for helping myself and my family have a wonderful holiday.

Wonderful villa for our family holiday of 3 generations

We've just returned from a fabulous week's stay at Lucy and Julia's gorgeous villa - clean, spacious, comfortable and with every amenity supplied. We especially enjoyed the wonderful seating area outside, with comfy seats and couches in the shade, and study wooden sunbeds for those who love to brave the heat! The rooftop area was beautiful for evening drinks watching the sun go down, and the large pool was a hit with us all. Inside the villa, the sitting room and its 3 very comfy sofas were perfect for relaxing, and the TV and games system looked great, although we never really got around to using them much. Ceiling fans and air conditioning kept us cool. The kitchen was well equipped, and the second fridge freezer in the laundry room was perfect for storing drinks. Gina, our contact in Portugal, was very helpful, meeting us at the villa and showing us everything the villa had to offer, but also later in the week when we had some questions. We also had a worry about the pool around 9pm one night, and she organised the pool maintenance man to come round within about 10 minutes, despite the lateness of the hour. All in all a fabulous holiday; we were very sad to leave...

Wunderschön und Erholsam

Das Haus war sehr gut ausgestattet. Es lies keine Wünsche übrig. Wunderschöne Aussicht viel Platz perfekt ausgestattet. Schwimmbad hatte die perfekte Größe für acht Personen. Leider hatten wir eine schwierige Abstimmung mit der Facility Manager beim Ankunft und wir haben den ganzen Aufenthalt nicht rausfinden können, wie man die Lichter im Pool anmacht. War trotzdem einen perfekten Aufenthalt und würden mich jederzeit gerne wiederholen
