The guy at the front desk was decent and he tries to be good. The hotel is so cheap. The cost also come up 30% this year. They are so cheap that the guy couldn't even allow us to have two room keys

Great location - close to shops/cafes/restaurants/bars. Staff were really friendly and rooms/communal areas tidy. We would stay again (which is kind of the best test!!)

Only stayed one night but upon entry, our room smelled awful. There is no AC/power (which is common) until your card is in the room, but it was very stinky, 26 degrees Celsius when we got in. The walls were so dirty, several spill spots down them from previous guests and the bathroom light didn’t work. The bed itself seemed okay and sheets were clean but the walls and carpet were disgusting to be honest. Staff were very polite and friendly. Location as great also. But I would not stay here again because of the rooms.

A comfortable hotel (despite the absence of plate and cuttlery for breakfast on the first morning. It was obvious the ladies serving breakfast were rushed off their feet and had run out of plates, which, at 8.30 AM should not really happen so maybe the hotel needs to look at providing the staff with what they need, including possibly another member of staff to help!) The room and bed was very comfortable,, the bathroom was clean, and the hotel location was brilliant, literally around the corner from the pedestrian shopping area, and within a 5 to 10min walk from the marina and the old town. Would highly recommend for a quick escape / city break!

Our room did not have a proper shower cubicle. Due to room being a small rhombus shape the shower cubicle was the same, and was not large enough for someone to shower without hitting the shower bi-fold door. The door did not close properly so every time you shower the water went out the tray all over the small bathroom. The shower hose was split so half the water did not come out the shower head. There's no where to put hand soap at the sink and in the shower there was nowhere to put the bottles of shower products provided. Overall poor set-up. They should not be charging the same rate as other rooms which had a bathtub. The bed had a piece of 2inch thick foam, where the bottom sheet would come off. The hotel itself was located in very central location and staff were friendly. We didn't try breakfast, so unable to comment on that.

Carpet not vacuumed and AC dripping all night

We were there for two nights. When we checked in, the room had not been completely cleaned. The carpeting had not been vacuumed and the air-conditioner dripped loudly on the carpet all night. The person at the desk said there was nothing they could do until morning. The next morning the manager said we could move rooms, but we were on our way out and only had one day in the city so we told her to just have the room cleaned and we would live with the leaking air-conditioner. When we returned that evening, the room had not been cleaned, not even touched. Again they said there was nothing they could do until morning. They gave us an email addres to register a complaint but no one ever replied to us.
