Great position, just 20 minutes walk from the historic centre. Quiet setting, attractive grounds, friendly staff, good breakfast. Only downside are the small basic bedrooms, that only offer suspended bars to hang clothes.

Hotel Horto Convento was absolutely outstanding. From the cordial staff to the immaculate facility. It was far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the center yet close enough to walk there. A quiet sanctuary hidden away in the very midst of the city. Located in a part of Florence that is still authentically Florentine.

We had a nice experience at Hotel Horto Convento. The room was modern but with a rustic feel and with a well sized bathroom. The staff were very friendly and the property was beautiful and set inside its own private courtyard which had lovely wisteria growing. The only draw backs were that the sound proofing was minimal and while the property was quiet anyway, it was always a little too easy to hear everything around us including the coming and going of other guests and the tolling of the bells on the hour and half hour. Other hotels have also had minimal sound proofing though. The other thing we noticed was while there did appear to be a thermostat that no amount of changing the settings would turn on the air conditioning or even the fan. In Florence it’s always a risk to open the window lest the mosquitos find their way in which they always seem to. Luckily we only got bitten a couple times. Still had a lovely time and would return again.

Loved this place - probably about a 20min walk from Firenze SMN train station. Beautiful rooms, lovely staff, great location, lots of good restaurants literally round the corner. Would absolutely stay again and have been recommending to family and friends.

This hotel is clean, quiet and the staff are lovely and helpful. We enjoyed staying in this neighbourhood because it is removed from the tourist crowds and full of local charm. However, it is at least a 20 minute walk to any of the tourist sights and there are few if any convenient public transit options. This might be a problem for people who are in Florence for a short time and want to maximize their sight-seeing or those with mobility challenges.

This is a lovely horel in a quiet area of the old historic area. This staff were very welcoming and gave us a map and gave us advice on restaurants and attractions. A very comfortable bed with lovely linen and fluffy towels. Grat breakfast. I would highly recommend this hotel and stay again.

Wonderful hotel would stay again.

We stayed for two nights. The staff was helpful and very friendly. Giovani gave us a great welcome and notes on places to visit. The room was beautiful and the amenities plentiful. The view was great and the huge window was spectacular. The breakfast was so good with hot and cold options. The staff at breakfast was quick and efficient. No complaints whatsoever on service, room or location. Was a tad difficult to see from the road as there is no sign. But go through the big arched doorway and walk straight down the cobble road into the courtyard and the entrance to reception is on the left with a sign. Would definitely stay again.
