Hotel Martelli is extremely charming. The rooms are a good size. Shopping and restaurants are at your front door. Santa Maria Novella is across the street and the Duomo is only a 5 minute walk.

The first night we stayed at a room which was extremely outdated and very small and tight. That specific room had no curtains to block the light and extremely noisy and loud which made sleeping impossible. The bathroom was so tight and outdated that one person could barely fit in there. But when we asked Tiziana (the wonderful lady who managed the front desk) she looked and found another room and moved us to another part of the hotel. The people at the front desk were wonderful and helpful. The breakfast was very good and the staff wonderful and attentive. Putting the first night aside, we had a really nice stay at this hotel.
