Margot and the staff were welcoming and helpful. Had a wonderful stay here. The only thing wrong was on Expedia's end (who I booked through). The dates I selected were Friday and Saturday, but in reality the only date I paid for was Friday....and it was $100 more than booking through the hotel, which I had to do since I needed one more night. I will definitely stay at the Sonesta again, but will not use Expedia to get there.

Outside front door seating - cushions had holes & very dirty, repairs needed. Cleaning of rooms was very slow. One day our room didn’t even get cleaned. Same no. of all size towels & face cloths were never replenished daily in the same count as our 1st checked-in day, had to find housekeeping cart each day to get no. of towels/facecloths needed. Room was cleaned fairly well when cleaned. Had to have shower knob repaired twice & safe repaired once. Was not happy that we couldn’t get late check-out, but appreciated guest pass usage of pool & beach since our flight was at 9pm. Missed having an outdoor patio/balcony off of our room; 1st hotel we’ve been in that didn’t have the balcony and we’ve stayed in many over the years!

There are better options for the money

The views were beautiful! The location is great. Won’t book through hotels.com again! When I booked it said $311 per night with tax.(stayed 2 nights) Ended up paying almost $1,200! SO MANY FEES NOT DISCLOSED. The staff was meh, nobody really all that friendly, except the valet guys. Went to the onsite restaurant and they had ONE waiter, poor guy was hustling , but this made for slow service. The hotel is pretty basic, the pool is small almost like a plunge pool. I’m disappointed but still Had a good time with my daughter.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Facility very nice. We came back after cruise for Day Pass and poolside music and grill and setting very enjoyable. Beach right across the street and much less crowded than areas closer to Hilton and Ritz areas. Also fantastic State Park adjacent to hotel. Will return for sure.

Lakita was great in dining room, as were the two bar tenders and Steven in dining room. Front staff could use a bit of help
