Breakfast is dismal. The room is functional, but overcrowded with unnecessary furniture and just sort of sad, unattractive. Overall the place is depressing.

Really worn and dated. I was in room 205 and could hear the lift squeal through the wall every time it was used. The bed was really hard. The plumbing was so loud when I flushed the toilet. I had to leave at 6am and felt really sorry for anyone in rooms next to, above our below mine it must have woken them up. £72 for a single room as described for 1 night seems too expensive, excludes breakfast.

Great staff. The property itself needs some money putting into it. It’s kind of lacking direction and needs sprucing up Breakfast needs better attention, just get 3 more coffee machines and present the food better

Property needs a refurbishment. The room we were allocated seemed tidy, however it had an unbearable smell in it. We advised reception and she sent someone to look at it. We were advised it was a plumbing issue and may go away of the taps were run for a while. The receptionist, Inga, however found us another room, which didnt smell. This room was stuffy and tired looking. Inga was very nice and helpful .

Jump off for Great Glen Way

Well located in Fort William, a good jumping off point for the Great Glen Way or ending point for the West Highland Way. Checking was good, was able to check in early. But it looked like the small desk could get overwhelmed easily. Breakfast was a full buffet with all the usual items in the UK. There is a bar for convenience, and a restaurant I did not eat in. Property is dated. Still fine for what and where it is. It is very close to the beginning of the Great Glen Way, so convenient if that is your plan.

Older building (1876) but still in good shape for the most part though some repairs to exterior are in order. The breakfast is consistantly good. Modern bathroom and TV options. Absolutely unbeatable location. Alexandra is literally a moment away from shopping, the train (including the Jacobite) dining and the main road. So glad we chose Alexandra, will gladly return!

Good location. My room was a bit old but still had the necessary things. It was very noisy though, a generator(?) house in front of the window was making a lot of noise which you could hear with windows closed as well. The twin bed was a bit small.

Breakfast buffet was provided with your stay. It was an excellent source of energy to the start of our day. Hotel staff was very responsive (we asked for a fan, and they delievered to our room immediately. However, there are a couple issues we had with our stay. First off, our room had a distinct unknown origin smell. Secondly, the bathroom door did not shut all the way so it would not lock. Next, the bathroom mirror was slanted and facing downwards, making it difficult to use. Lastly, the elevator could only fit two guests, so you may need to take multiple trips if you have luggage. Overall, it was still a great stay at this hotel in Fort William.

Good and bad

Walls are wafer thin. Drain were making a scary sound like from the under world. Bfast scrambled eggs were runny. On a good note: on request, we were give a baby cot. The staff helped putting it together too. Staff at the restaurant was very kind, helped with the high chair.
