Good location. My room was a bit old but still had the necessary things. It was very noisy though, a generator(?) house in front of the window was making a lot of noise which you could hear with windows closed as well. The twin bed was a bit small.

Breakfast buffet was provided with your stay. It was an excellent source of energy to the start of our day. Hotel staff was very responsive (we asked for a fan, and they delievered to our room immediately. However, there are a couple issues we had with our stay. First off, our room had a distinct unknown origin smell. Secondly, the bathroom door did not shut all the way so it would not lock. Next, the bathroom mirror was slanted and facing downwards, making it difficult to use. Lastly, the elevator could only fit two guests, so you may need to take multiple trips if you have luggage. Overall, it was still a great stay at this hotel in Fort William.

Good and bad

Walls are wafer thin. Drain were making a scary sound like from the under world. Bfast scrambled eggs were runny. On a good note: on request, we were give a baby cot. The staff helped putting it together too. Staff at the restaurant was very kind, helped with the high chair.

No Hot Water

No hot water for showers or for other needs. Made our stay to relax and refresh ourselves during our travels extremely disappointing. The outside of the shower tub was delaminating. Pigeons were nesting just outside our windows making noise late intot the evening and very early in the morning.

Great location for Jacobite train

Lovely hotel in perfect location for the train station. Dinners were fantastic and breakfast was good. We had no hot water on second morning and heating failed during the night. When we advised we had no hot water it was dismissed as “yes we know”.

We like that the old hotel had a lot of history attached to it. Staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel could do with a refurbishment, as it looks worn and and dated, but the costs involved i assume would be astronomical. In saying that, we would have no hesitation in staying there again, as we really enjoyed our stay.

Good stay

Friendly check in, room was basic but clean. Shower was hot and powerful. Room was slightly cold and heating was not on. Take ear plugs if you want a good sleep as you can easily hear people in neighbouring rooms. Cant complain too much for the price.

Staff and food good but the hotel is very tir

Staff were very friendly and helpful, and breakfast and dinner were good, but the hotel is in need of refurbishment and decoration. Our bedroom had only single glazing so the window was covered in condensation for our entire stay. The hotel is very conveniently located for the railway station.

Clean and comfortable

This is the third time that I have stopped here. Personally, I love it, but if you are looking for a top notch accommodation then this is not for you. The rooms are pretty tired but clean, comfortable and warm. The stuff are very helpful. The food is okay. Personally, I go for value for money and this is what you get here
