It was okay but not amazing. The hotel definitely needs an exterior clean and a lick of paint. The inside felt a bit dated in the rooms. The lounge area was nice. The hotel felt a bit understaffed and service could be improved, but have to say the lad at the bar was great despite his young age. The food including breakfast was really nice, a good range of breakfast too. I’m not sure I’d stay again, potentially if I was in the area but wouldn’t rush back

Hotel is tired & needs refurbished, our room 514 only had warm water so we couldn’t get a shower, we informed reception and we were told that another guest had also reported this and maintenance had been informed, the next day there was still no hot water so we had to use the swimming pool showers. On check out we informed reception again about not having any hot water and all they said was sorry & they would look into it. On a positive note, the food at the bar in the evening was excellent, great portion sizes & very tasty, although food could be a little hotter.

Great location for area. Rather shabby, unloved areas such as lounge which is a walk through and dark. Boilers broke Sunday so no hot water for washing sunday or Monday morning. Dining area needs work. Tables shabby and cutlery poor. No drinks service for evening meal. Have to get drinks yourself from bar and bring into dining area, despite tables all dressed with wine glasses. Geared up more for coaches rather than individuals. Bar had much better menu in evening and food was good in bar. Overall disappointing. Leisure center is ok but otherwise disappointing hotel.

The staff were very friendly and helpful despite being very busy. There was a mixup with our booking so they provided a bag packed full of snacks and drinks which were very much appreciated. The room was very pleasant and beds extremely comfortable. Excellent stay highly recommended.

A few issues with our room and cleanliness which meant changing rooms. Staff were very friendly, apologetic and went out of their way to make amends. The complimentary gifts left in our new room (with a working TV) were a lovely surprise and very appreciated.

The hotel staff are the best feature of this hotel they were all friendly and had a smile, the hotel itself is in need of some updating in the communal areas, but the room itself was clean, the bedding and bed was comfortable, breakfast I would not recommend not worth the money they are charging for it, little to no selection in continental and the cooked breakfast was generic and tasteless. Lovely location and the pool was great.
