The only positive about this hotel is that it is dog friendly. They have some balls charging over £200 a room considering the state of them. Black mould all over the bathroom, paint on the floor, bleach stains on the furniture, wallpaper peeling off the walls and the mirror covered in marks and cracks.
Breakfast was a complete joke. Only 2 members of staff on so had a long wait to be seated. We went at 8.30 and most things had been finished despite breakfast being on till 9. 3 bits of bread left, a cereal bowl of scrambled eggs, no apple or orange juice left and noone checking to refill.
Avoid at all costs. If I hadnt been so tired from the drive I would have compleined and requested a refund. Total dissappintment as nothing like the photos. Shameful charging what they do.
This hotel had a comfortable clean bed and clean bathroom. Front desk staff was lovely. The hotel itself is hideous and is desperate need of renovation. It actually looks like a run down prison.

I am usually not one to complain about any kind of service industry but I could not hold back with this one. I will start with the front desk staff were very nice and accommodating! They let us keep our luggage there until we were able to check in. We wanted to go roam before check in time, so that was very nice of them. The room was mediocre at best. Definitely not worth $250 a night. More like a $100. The best thing about the room was the soaking tub. There’s one outlet for 3 people to share and it’s across the room. Not even close to the bed. Speaking of the bed, the beds were AWFUL! Extremely uncomfortable and full of springs. The hallways smell of wet paint and had old busted furniture just hanging out, as if someone had meant to toss it but was lazy and didn’t want to take it down the stairs. The room they put us in had a lovely view of the dumpsters in the back accompanied with a street lamp that shined right into our one window that we had to leave open due to no fans or other source of ventilation in the middle of summer. I hope this helps anyone deciding to book with them. If it’s your only option, I would call and request a room with a view of the loch.
Glad I found this room. Offered us a nights refuge after a long day. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I sent a couple.of messages in advance of our arrival which were answered promptly. Didn't have dinner as we checked in late but breakfast was a good self-service affair with both continental and traditional English breakfast on offer. Room was clean and comfortable but basic, felt like I'd jumped back in time to 1985. You could make tea and coffee and there was a TV. I was a bit disappointed there werent any USB charging points in the plug sockets (and there were only two of those and they weren't by the bed) but that's minor really. The WiFi was ok.

Great spot to stay on edge of loch but really busy road in tourist season, great bar and restaurant. No air con and it was hot weather!
More of a hostel, then a hotel it doesn’t even des
This hotel is horrible doesn’t look anything like it does in the pictures. It’s old dingy looks more of a hostile and feels like a hostile. Worst stay ever I only have to say, though that the kitchen staff are fabulous. They were so nice and bent over backwards to help you with anything you needed, but that’s it just the kitchen staff. Otherwise honestly do not waste your time here we had a ton of bugs in the light fixture in our room Bugs in our washroom. It was disgusting and when we told the front desk, they just shrugged their shoulders.
There were a lot of negative reviews for this hotel, but honestly, I enjoyed my stay. The reception area is nice with modern furnishings and views of the lake, the breakfast was tasty and also had nice views, the bar is nice to have in case you want a drink! The staff were lovely
and very accommodating. The shower in our room was amazing! Fabulous water pressure and nice and hot! Yes, carpets were a little run down but the room facilities were modern. It was a little warm- fans would be nice. It’s also a good location- nice to be just outside of town and have the lake views but also easy drive in to town! Park at the Morrisons grocery and you are 2 minutes to the cute little shopping and eating area!
Realy helpful and nice staff. Evening entertainment was good. Beautiful views over Loch Linnhe. Good parking and unfortunately but not within walking distance of Fort William. Rooms dated and musty smell. Not bad overall but not worth the price we paid per night. Also bar drinks a bit pricey.

Disliked: Amenities
The room had a strong musty and moldy odor, which made it very uncomfortable. Although small, it could have been much cleaner. The toilet didn’t flush properly, and the carpet also carried a persistent damp, musky smell. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Building and facilities are very old. The bathroom is quite old and dated. The shower was so hot, without the ability to cool it off, that it was not usable! Great staff, bar, and food.
