Very nice hotel. Luggage had to be taken up significant stone stairs - so be aware. Parking is valet or difficult street parking. Nice spacious clean room with comfortable bed; well stocked bathroom. Ice brought by cleaning lady — very helpful.

Great hotel; noisy

Very friendly staff; exceptionally clean room. Even with the vintage architecture, the Visitation felt modern. The only drawback was the people in the adjoining room - they were very loud. Some rooms do not seem to have isolated acoustics.

We were in room 106, right under the restaurant/ballroom. There was a wedding reception there last night. It was VERY loud until 11 pm, then they started tearing down and cleaning up EARLY this morning. It was very loud, and woke us up at 7 a.m. that was very disappointing.

This hotel was very nice and we loved the creative restoration and repurposing of the building. It was clean and great location. Not sure we will stay there again though simply because the cost was pretty high but it was a neat spot for an overnight or a weekend in Frederick.
