Ideally located just in front of the sea and the Promenade. Hug verandas with great views to the sea. The natural swimming pool of Doca do Cavacas that you can see from the building an going down takes 300 steps. Also great view of Cabo Girão and the sea from the second veranda. In front of the building it starts a Promenade of a few Kilometers along the sea with great views. There is a supermarket in the back of the building. Just out of the main door of the building there is a bus stop directly to the city center - Funchal, it takes about 10 minutes.

Christmas get together

Very well equipped property with good access to buses and restaurants.Couple of negatives - Uncomfortable bedding. Door stop in front of toilet in second bathroom which catches the centre of the foot.

6 week stay

This apartment has a 5 star location with the promenade, the bus stop and sea right outside the condo building. The small grocery store in the rather tired looking Centomar mall next door is very convenient for most all necessities including getting the Giro bus pass ticket and topping it up. It is a 12 minute walk up a gradual hill to the Forum shopping mall where the big Pingo Doce grocery store is situated. I would walk up and then use Bolt to taxi back with groceries at 4 euros. The apartment has good natural light and high ceilings. The building is showing it’s age. 3W is on the third floor with 2 large balconies. The dishwasher and washing machine appear quite new, the refrigerator is old but works fine. The 4 burner gas cooktop needs replacing as I had to use a bbq lighter to light the front 2 burners. Be aware that if you use the oven at the same time as the washing machine you will blow the breaker. There is a large pantry with many dishes although the odd assortment of wine glasses needs some additions. Pots for cooking were fine for my needs but frying pans need replacing. Lots of towels and sheets and blankets. The building is quiet and appeared safe, although the front entry doors were unlocked most days of my 6 week stay. When I was solo for several weeks, I was conscious of the fact that anyone could enter the building. I hope I have disclosed in an honest way, my experience. Overall I would recommend staying here, mostly due to the amazing location.

Ideal location

The apartment was large, close to many amenities, ocean, boardwalks, shopping, restaurants, swimming. It is clean and well equipped (kitchen appliances, iron, hairdryer hangers, all sizes of towels, etc). The host and property manager were very responsive and responded instantly. The parking space was easy to access.

Family get-together getaway

This trip was comprised of a grandfather, grandmother, daughter and granddaughter. We loved the openness and cleanliness of the apartment, and were surprised to find a south-facing and a north-facing balcony to enable us to get as much sun or as little as we wished. In the beginning of August we were able to keep the windows and doors open and the breezes were delightful.

Great deal on a front line flat

A fantastic bargain on a front line luxury apartment with amazing views from not one but two balconies. Stunning floors and high ceilings make the brightly lit rooms feel really big. Do some things needs refreshing? Perhaps, but then it would probably cost more. Keep in mind air dried towels will never feel soft like a dryer. Our clothes dried easily in a day on the balcony. Perfect location right on the amazing lido (We walked into Funchal in about an hour). Few cars passed at night allowing us to sleep to the sound of the waves. Host super responsive and easy check in. Highly recommended!

Bonimar

Spacious apartment with two large balconies front and back with excellent sea views. Great location. 5 mins walk from Forum Shopping Centre . Nice selection of restaurants within minutes walk . Lovely 50 min . walk takes you to central Funchal. No2 bus outside apartment takes 10 mins . Highly recommend.

Nice big apartment with stunning views

Lovely apartment, well located. The manager was very responsive and easy to contact. The apartment's equipment needs some refreshing. Extractor fans in the bathrooms don't work so one has to leave exterior doors open to flush out steam and smells. The towels are showing their age - some with holes, others just thin. Some towels to take to the lido would be good. The kitchen has a dishwasher which is great, but the assortment of old pots and pans is not! We stayed for 2 months and mostly cooked at home. We had to buy several pans and smaller items like a peeler, whisk and nylon egg flip. The glasses also need to be refreshed - there's an assortment of unmatched odds and ends. This said, we had a great time and loved the apartment and its generous balcony overlooking the ocean.

Wonderful apartment. Has absolutely everything you need. The view is amazing from both balconies.

This was our second stay here. The new balcony furniture is excellent. It is a perfect place to chill out- lots of great restaurants close by and the bus stop into Funchal right outside the main door. It is very peaceful with amazing views. Beds and sofas are extremely comfortable. lots of hot water for showers etc. Dish washer and washing machine are great. This is the best apartment we have stayed in over the last few years.

Fine apartment

Fine, close to the city of Funchal. It takes 45 minute to walk or 15 min bij bus. Apartment was nice and clean with view to the beach and almost the whole day sun in the balcony.

Sehr schöne und vor allem geräumige Wohnung mit zwei sehr großen Balkonen. Top Lage. Traumhafter Blick aufs Meer, abends mit Sonnenuntergang. In direkter Nähe sehr schönes Felsenschwimmbad. Kleiner Supermarkt im Gebäude, großer fußläufig entfernt. Zwei Einzelbetten sind im Wohnzimmer, die übereinander geschoben werden. Wir haben mit zwei Familien (8 Personen) den Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

Cozy and convenient, perfect location

We stayed one month and made it our home. We loved the apartment, it has a beautiful and comfortable living space with sea view and a sunny balcony outside. Little flaws with pots and pans, ventilation etc but in general a great place. The area was great, too. Sea pools on the door step, a lovely walk along the shore. Lots of good restaurants. A frequent bus to the city central stops outside the building, and so does the airport shuttle. Very convenient!
