Decent place

This is a typical Hyatt Place, clean, comfortable and the service is as expected, The hotel is reasonably close to the University of Florida and has several great spots for food and nightlife within easy walking distance. There is a great cat cafe about a 2 minute walk from the hotel.

Very comfortable large rooms

Very comfortable, large rooms, feels brand new. There seems to be quite a bit of amplification of the outside noise. They provide ear plugs.

Property was one of the cleanest hotels I’ve stayed at. Staff was great and very helpful and polite. Only drawbacks are parking and noise which is to be expected being in the middle of downtown. Overall this experience was great and I would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel location is so nice in down town, plenty of restaurants around. Staff were also so nice and helpful. The overall condition of the room was ok but restroom had some not nice smell, I would say not for not being clean but overall condition should be reconsidered. I didn’t like that there were not even a bottle of water as a welcome drink.

Maybe the noisiest hotel ever! The music across the street shakes the building and goes on until about 2:00 am. If you are a sound sleeper or hearing impaired this might work. The bartender didn’t finish our order before tidying, changing the record, and taking other orders. Just needed to sign the credit card bill. Ended up waiting and waiting twice.

For a Hyatt, this property is pitiful. Other than it being convenient and walking distance to restaurants and whatnot, it lacks in everything else. First, checkin is on the second floor. You have to park outside, in a 15 minute unloading/loading zone, and check in and then grab a luggage stroller and unload and take everything to your room. You can valet for $30 or park 2 blocks away for $20. Fortunately, I was here the weekend before and parked on the street 2 block away for free. When I went back to my room, I realized that I was given a room with 2 queen beds. Had to check my reservation, as I swore I booked a king, and I did book a king. Went back downstairs and king rooms were in high demand and they didn't have any. Somehow, the front desk guy was able to change someone else's reservation (poor unlucky person) and I got a king. Btw. The queen rooms are bigger and better than a king. And have bigger couches and are set up better than the king I had. People talk about a heated pool. That's a myth, as it was FREEZING! Not heated in the slightest! And then wasps came flying in. I went to the front desk and told them and they said maintenance would be out in a few minutes. 15 minutes later, maintenance came with a spray can and shooed the wasps away but didn't spray anywhere. Not sure what people are talking about regarding the breakfast! It's your typical American hotel breakfast! Nothing was special besides tortillas and salsa but that was all. Cold eggs, spoiled milk...
