I immediately had to ask to be switched to another room upon arrival as my room smelled, and there was a big bug on the wall. The sidewalks were cracked and crumbling. One of the chairs in my room was filthy and had a giant burn in the center. I took a photo but I don't see how to download to this review. The floor of the shower was squishy and I felt like I was going to slip or fall over. I realize the rate for this motel was very inexpensive but I would not stay here again.

Towels were prob from 1978 and the cockroaches were big. Otherwise there was a bed in the room. Should be $50 a night. Not sure why it’s over $150!?!?

Room was covered in black mold due to extremely moldy air conditioning. I will be requesting a refund as I did not stay in that room and moved to a different hotel.

Rooms were simple but clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the firepit at night. Only a 5 minute drive to downtown and has a distillery next door. Will definitely stay here again when in Galena.

Check in was very easy, the young man at the front desk was very friendly. The firepit was a great way to spend time with friends at the end of the day. The room was a little dingy and one of the beds had what appeared to be sand in it.

Not for me but could be fine

I checked in and Ronny at the front desk was helpful and kind. The room was very nostalgic looking but once I saw the potential black mold on the lamp shades and the window that wasn’t fully closed I immediately didn’t want to stay. The bed was also not comfortable and the walls are paper thin. I was there about 20 minutes and went to the desk and said I didn’t want to stay. They did refund me quickly and there was no issue. Sad I couldn’t stay - it’s super cute. Maybe my room was just the dud.

The property has been updated with an outdoor poor and fire pit. For a nights stay it was great. Refrigerator and microwave in the room. Small room but comfortable.

Safe and comforting

I feel very comfortable here and the people are very friendly and helpful. The things they offer as a family stay is great. I have been here 2 times now and will stay there again on some upcoming trips with family and friends
