Great hotel- poor behavior at front desk

The man that was at the desk was horrible. He was rude and I couldn’t understand a word he said. The lady in the morning was wonderful and apologized about the man’s behavior from that morning.

We really enjoyed our visit. It was so nice being able to see the Bay as well as The Elissa, Battleship Texas & others out out window, even lying in our bed. We will be back. We come to Galveston a lot since we live 2hrs away. This hotel will be added to our favorite’s list.

Great place to stay, especially if you're here before or after a Carnival Cruise! The port is literally next door and the hotel was brilliant. Clean, comfortable, and a generously sized room. Would definitely stay here again! Highly recommend!

We discovered bed bugs in our room. Thankfully we had not opened our luggage. Once found, management quickly moved us to a different room- but for my own sanity I needed to medicate myself to sleep with Benadryl.

Not our first time here. Dee at the front desk has been here since we started coming here a few years ago. She’s always pleasant and friendly. This is a great place to stay if you’re going to walk the Strand and it’s got great views of the action on the harbor. We usually upgrade to one of the King Suites on the harbor end of the building for the best views. It’s between two great restaurants so it’s really convenient if you don’t want to walk far to eat. Also it’s very convenient for those who are going on one of the cruises that leave out of Galveston.
