The hotel had on-site parking so that was nice. Unfortunately, its not really walkable to the downtown area. You'll need to drive. The room was nice and fairly large.

The room was nicely sized, and had a very large tub. My only wish was that there was more light - I honestly thought that some lights needed replacing… no, the room was just that dark. I have a feeling the staff thought I was goofy for thinking a smoke alarm was a light fixture, but hey- maybe it’s a cultural difference in expectations of lighting in hotel rooms? :) Aside from the restaurant in the hotel, you have to walk 20 mins to the city center for food/activities. I knew this when I booked- I think it was worth the savings. Just be prepared to be next to a gas station- but it surprisingly had very tasty ice cream! Breakfast was a decent continental spread (bland eggs but fresh fruit salad, yogurt, and bread) I did wish that the homemade brown soda bread was available for more than just a few days out of my 2 weeks stay. Overall I think it was great value for the price, and would recommend it.

Everything was great. Staff was amazing. Restaurant was very good and not overpriced. About 15 min walk to Eyre Square. One issue: NO storage in room other than closet. No drawers. If you a staying a few nights, be prepared to live out of your suitcase. Kudos to lovely, helpful staff.
