The location was excellent for having it as a "home-base" for the week A few disappointments with the pool being closed for maintenance during our stay. That was one of the reasons we chose Quality! And the other small issues were resolved immediately with the attentive and very friendly staff! They are there for you!!!

We needed a one-night stay in Gander. All staff were kind and helpful. The room, hallway, and lobby were so clean, you could eat off the floor and walls. It is a bit of an older hotel and a bit quirky, but everyone was relaxed, welcoming and seemed genuinely happy for us to be there! The food was hearty and reasonably priced, 6$ (full!) glasses of wine, and breakfast was tasty with homemade raisin tea buns! Stellar spot!

Beware of sports teams

Stayed with my dog on the way to port aux basques to take the ferry and barely slept all night as there were unsupervised kids running through the hall and knocking on every door and running away. Nothing was done after calling down several times and I spent the whole night keeping my dog from barking. No security guard present. My dog was also attacked by an off leash dog while entering the lobby. Overall not a great experience. If I ever have to stay in gander again I will ask if there are any sports teams staying. Would have slept better in the car!

Gander was just an overnight stop on our way from Rocky Harbour to Bonavista, but the Quality Inn was just what we needed. Clean and comfy bed, nice bathroom. Our room did smell pretty strongly of body odour...so we left the window open while we went to the museum and for dinner and it helped a little. We also got a pack n play for our toddler, and it had a banana slice in it, so maybe not cleaned well. Overall, it was a fine stay. Food at the restaurant was delicious and breakfast was all we needed. Pool was closed during our stay.
