Visited Gatlinburg this past weekend staying at the Wander Hotel. Staff at the hotel were great and very helpful. Our room was clean, spacious and had a great view. The complimentary breakfast was greatand more than we expected. Parking was more than ample and hotel had a great location on the strip. Had a small problem with our door and TV but staff responded quickly and fixed the problem. We requested more bath towels and staff brought them to us promptly along with other linens. We were on tge 5th floor in building C with a corner room and balcony which was perfect. Only issues were the hot tub was not working and the elevator had a mildew odor but other than that the Wander Hotel was great. We are already planning to return next year.

The hotel looks outdated but the room itself was nice. Loved having a private balcony. My only complaints would be about the breakfast. One morning did not have juice or creamer for the coffee and our last day there I planned our leave time so we could still enjoy a breakfast before hitting the road and it was not ready at the time advertised. That being said, I would still definitely stay here again.

We stayed here several times. The last time was horrible. If they book you for Building B room 132 refuse it! All night all you hear is them doing laundry and washers spinning unbalanced. The matresses were all stained and overall a run down room. The balcony rooms are 100% better!

Nice view, nice hotel

I had to swap rooms because they could not get TV to work. Exhaust fan in bathroom of other room did not work. Other than that room was real nice. Good view from balcony. Good area around hotel. Indoor swimming pool not heated, was too cold to enjoy even kids would not get in. Staff was very courteous & nice.

The hot water was minimal at best. The TV control was a generic TV control and didn’t work on the TV. We had to manually turn on the TV and set the control up every time we wanted to use it. I wouldn’t rely on the continental breakfast. The juice machines didn’t work two of the three nights and they run out of milk. Poorly stocked.

The lady at check in was great and very nice and helpful. If you want to stay in the main strip near all the amenities and attractions you can’t go wrong at this place. However if you value cleanliness and the way your room smells then this may not be the place for you. It just seemed old and run down even with the room upgrades. My wife and I were also very upset because we did not receive the room that we seen in the picture that we thought we was booking online through Expedia. The picture for the room we booked was completely different than the room we got and that just isn’t good service. Lastly I would say if you are looking to be close to all attractions this place is great and the staff we dealt with were great and friendly. I didn’t mention the room discrepancy until check out and when I did the lady working there actually gave me numbers of 2 rooms that was supposed to be what we booked.

Always a good option.

We always love staying here because the location is hard to beat. We were hoping for a higher up room as requested but not a deal breaker. This hotel almost always has conditioner/shampoo in their hand soap spot which again is no big deal, but odd. The rooms are always clean. We booked a private balcony and we newer out right next to another balcony without privacy at all. Luckily no one came out to sit when we did, or I would’ve been very upset to pay for a private balcony and that’s what we got. They didnt seemed booked up so I was disappointed to be put in the room we were. Their breakfast seems to be upgraded and actually pretty good. If you want a hotel with good prices, and convenient to town this should definitely be at the top of your list. We will be back.
