Welcome to the Fenêtres sur l'Estuaire cottage! Ideally located on the bucolic coastal road along the Gironde Estuary, our cottage welcomes you for an authentic stay in a peaceful setting, surrounded by nature, heritage, and local produce, with family or friends. Here, you'll find Gauriac, a small village nestled between the citadels of Bourg and Blaye. This location will be the starting point for walks or bike rides along the coastal paths and its breathtaking views of the estuary; you can discover shrimp fishing 200 meters away or on the quays of the small port of Roque de Thau 1 km away; history and heritage enthusiasts will be captivated by the Citadel of Blaye and the medieval village of Bourg, passing by the Gallo-Roman Villa of Plassac and the Pair-non-Pair caves in Prignac and Marcamps. The cottage is housed in a renovated old house. It is spread over two levels with generous volumes, tasteful decor, and a layout designed for your comfort. On the ground floor, you'll find a large, fully equipped kitchen with everything you need to cook like at home: dishes, coffee maker, microwave, oven, kettle, washing machine, refrigerator, freezer, and many practical utensils. A large, bright living room with a lounge and dining area, ideal for sharing meals, relaxing in front of the television, or playing board games comfortably seated on the sofa or armchairs, and a separate toilet. The upper floor includes two bedrooms with double beds (140x190cm), one with a private bathroom open to the bedroom. Two bedrooms each with two 90x190cm beds, a bathroom with a large shower, and a separate toilet. You'll have access to an enclosed garden with a terrace, garden furniture, and a fire pit for cozy barbecue evenings. Private parking with an electric vehicle outlet is available. Sheets, towels and table linen are included in the price. Gas for cooking (if the cooktop uses this energy), water within reasonable consumption limits, and a flat rate of 8 kWh/day for electricity. Sheets, towels, and kitchen linens are provided.
