The room itself was great, only annoying part was the daily cleaning - the bed was roughly made and my dirty coffee cups were just left without anything being replenished! They do have extra coffee and milk etc in reception but would be nice to have in room already. But over all I was pretty happy with my stay!

The shower in room 211 is dreadful, if we were staying any longer I would if asked to change rooms, breakfast was just ok, nothing special, most of the stuff was overcooked.

We had no heat in our rooms the first night, so the staff brought in portable heaters. Then, the next day we had no hot water. The manager did not charge us for one night of our stay. He was very apologetic. Also, my daughter's reservation was not in their records. It turns out she canceled the credit card she used to reserve the room and opened another. Instead of contacting her to say the card was denied and ask for another form of payment, they cancelled both night's reservations. The Hampton had no rooms available for our stay, so she had to find another hotel to book a room.

Great hotel, really central. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful. Breakfast is good, decent selection and well presented. Overall I would thoroughly recommend this hotel, it is the third time we have used it and will definitely use it again in the future.

Good hotel. Great location. More care could be taken with the standard of the breakfast. Some mornings the bacon was nuked. Be aware that to park overnight in the car park opposite is now £28 per night. The hotel is no longer able to offer a parking discount.

Checked in good, dropped bags and went to the theatre. On our return the musty smell in the room was intolerable. Staff were good offering a reduction, however we declined as it was very unpleasant and clearly had a problem. New room was allocated which was pleasant we were disappointed that a quick stop over with a trusted brand was not what we expected.
