I like that it was in the center of everything was really close to the subway station and a bus stop. There was an elevator the hotel was extremely clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Room was very clean. Just dated. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel is not in the most exciting part of town. The streets and sidewalks weren’t as clean as other towns in Scotland. Breakfast was good and included.

Excellent stay

Amazingly friendly and helpful staff, excellent breakfast that's included as well as a menu with toasties (my new fave food!) Soft drinks and a small bar are available. At another place now for triple the price in another city and their toasties don't hold a candle to them. Beds were firm, and soft and firm pillow provided. The Scotia, oldest pub in Glasgow, was at end of the block. Very enjoyable stay!
Beans and toast for a healthy start but eggs, hashbrown, British bacon, Cumberland sausage, excellent juices and coffee.

Brilliant hotel well deserving of all the good reviews it has received. Everywhere clean, modern and comfortable and all the staff we met were friendly and efficient. The breakfast buffet included a good selection of hot and cold food and we also enjoyed evening meals (lasagne and Thai curry). We liked the proximity to the river, Glasgow green and plenty of pubs and places to eat and felt that it was a safe area. It was a good central location for exploring. This hotel is great value and we will definitely return next time we visit Glasgow.

WARNING: STRANGERS ENTER YOUR ROOM

Booked through Hotels.com and chose pay at hotel. Hotel decided to charge my card BEFORE I got there, not tell me, and charge me again. Poor hygiene: dust from AC on bed and huge dark stains on towels went unnoticed. Majority of rooms have connecting doors but this is not mentioned or made clear in photos or in description. This can be a threat to your safety like it was to mine when two people barged into my room!! Rang down to reception and had no sympathy at all, and when i rang down a second time had the phone put down. This false advertising is both dangerous and illegal but when I have approached Hotels.com, Holiday Inn's customer service and the hotel about updating this I have been told I have had a refund. I have had to go to Holiday Inn's parent company IHG to ask for a change to be made and will be taking this to the ombudsman. It was also like pulling teeth to get a refund. At first I wasnt offered a refund, then the equivalent of one free night in points (when I stayed for two!), then 50% and then full when I called the hotel back. I was told the reason I wasn't offered a refund in the first place was because I had a positive experience....
