Just perfect.

This place was perfect. Michelle has thought of everything. The house was incredibly clean with comfy furniture and the outside… . Can’t think of 1 thing I would change. Absolutely loved our time there and look forward to going back!

Beautiful Lake House

Girls getaway weekend success! We had a wonderful time staying at the Off The Hook cabin. Michelle was very comminicative and helpful and we got tons of R&R even while it rained. Will be back!

Off the Hook was off the charts!!!

This was the first time my family had used VRBO and we did not know what to expect but, Off the Hook Lake House was everything we were looking for and we were not disappointed. We will most definitely be going back every time we travel to the Oscoda/AuSable area. Thank you Off the Hook for a great time!!

Hunting Season Pt.2

This is the 2nd year staying here for the 1st week of deer season! The weather wasn't good for hunting, but I had a wonderful time sight-seeing, and I got to take some of the most amazing pictures of the lake! We had a family emergency, and Michele was more than accommodating and helped us out. This house is so peaceful and quiet thank- you for being such a good host

Very Nice

We had a good stay.Had 4 So.Cal grandkids so it was quite a different experience for them. The lake was crystal clear with lots of fish.The place was just as the pics show and they loved the kayaks and aqua cycle.

This house is adorable and the homeowner was great to work with. Although a storm went through and wiped out our electric cutting our trip short, we were easily credited for early check out. We would have stayed had their been water waiting 30 hours for power. The neighbors had a generator but not this property. Would highly recommend this rental though!

Overall enjoyed stay. Did not have good weather to utilize pontoon like we would have liked. Wish location had trash service and television that wasn't just streaming service but we were not there to watch television. Would recommend.

Peaceful, tranquil and soooo quiet

Storm went through right before we got there, couldn't get on-line. Sent note to owners who called right away and stayed on the phone and walked us through it until we were up and running. The grounds and house were meticulously kept up. The path leading to the house was super cottagey , and so lush. The storms left us a clear night and calm lake, which was so smooth you could see the stars reflecting in it, and awesome sunrises in the morning. Owners had a nice guide book with restaurants, and nearby attractions. Fast speed internet DVDs, and games to keep a family busy for the entire stay. Beds were great, linens and towels well stocked, as well as the kitchen was-nice plates, and enough pots and pans for all of your needs. The deck out back had excellent views of the lake, enough chairs for everyone. Nice grill and a standby tank in case we would have needed it. And the finishing touches was the bird feeder which kept the birds and chipmunks coming in for endless entertainment throughout our stay. (feed was included, fun and easy to do) Mio not to far had excellent Amish food and gifts. Lumberman's Monument was also not to far and a nice place to visit. The AuSable river access points were also near by. All are interesting attractions when you stay here. The drive to Twas is super nice and scenic, take the time to drive this, you won't be disappointed. Niemen's Grocery has excellent meat and fresh bread and donuts. Be sure to get there early donuts go fast! And to top off the vacation, our last night there I saw a falling star! Will want to come back here again!

Cozy and quiet

We had a lovely time at the house, hung out on the dock, walked around the lake and visited local landmarks around the Alcona area. This cottage is very convenient to Alcona, and only a few minutes to a grocery, party store and ACE. Highly recommended.

A quiet getaway

The property was great. Very quiet slow pace lake, near beautiful Oscoda. Enjoyed Alcona Canoeing down the Ausable River. The rental was very clean and organized with plenty amenities.

Our Family Vacation

If you are considering renting a house in the Glennie, MI area, this is the place you want! The house was absolutely adorable and very well kept. The property was beautiful with an amazing morning view while you drink your coffee! The boat was great as well. We really enjoyed our stay. I highly recommend this property for your stay!

Cottage is chill

The cottage was probably the nicest we've stayed in. Clean, comfortable and relaxing. The nearby town and store are a bit understocked. Consider doing your grocery shopping before heading up.

Quiet, nice location, but be prepared to rent the pontoon for the entire stay or the last night because once it’s rented you pay for every night thereafter. Would rent it again though because there is a lot to do nearby.

Nice Getaway

We were here for a short time mid-week, and it was very peaceful and relaxing. The cottage was clean and comfortable, and the kitchen well-equipped. The owners were good communicators, and we enjoyed some of the hikes they suggested, as well as fishing in the lake. Enjoyable stay!
