Room was recently refurbished I think. Sofa bed was still in the box on arrival but did get assembled and positioned when we were out one day. But that wasn’t an issue for us and there was no tea spoons. Beds and other furnishings were very good and comfortable. Staff very helpful.

Unfortunately, my experience at this hotel was very disappointing. When I arrived, the reception desk was unattended, which made check-in unnecessarily difficult. While waiting, I also witnessed the owner arguing with another customer in the lobby, which felt unprofessional and uncomfortable. The room itself had several issues. One of the seats was broken, and the sofa bed hadn’t even been set up — it was still in a cardboard box, leaning against the wall as if it was waiting to be assembled. Overall, the room gave the impression that it hadn’t been properly checked or maintained. On top of this, there was no access to the gym as advertised, and there were multiple other maintenance problems throughout the property. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless the hotel seriously improves its customer service and addresses the many maintenance concerns.

Quiet location. Friendly staff on checkin. The room wasn’t clean and lacking the bare essentials. Air con didn’t cool the room and the front door had been damaged and not repaired. We have stayed a few years back, unfortunately I think this will be our last.

On arrival, I was told that my booking had been cancelled due to "room issues", when i showed my confirmation i was told, sorry, sorry, room cancelled, no more booking. I was told i could get a cash refund on the spot or i could call WOTIF and try to get another booking somewhere else. Only problem is that i had travelled hours with 2 small children and it was storming. I took the cash and of course struggled to get a booking somewhere else and of course paid double the price of my original booking. Beyond angry, rude staff, very unprofessional.

The room was very neglected, the shower head was falling off the wall, the towel rail was falling off the wall, multiple cracked tiles in the bathroom were also loose. The kettle was very dirty inside. Could hear kids running up and down hallways at midnight. The pool area surrounds were filthy with dirt and human hair. The wharf boardwalk had loose planks were coming loose which was dangerous to walk along if you were not looking properly. The whole place is rundown.

We prepaid our booking and arrived well within the arrival window and there was no room for us. They had sold our room to someone else. The manager was abrupt and did not care that our family had nowhere to stay that evening.

Hardly any staff. The shower door was mouldy. The beds were clean and comfortable. I booked a 2 bedroom suite and had to change my room twice because the first two were not what a reserved. I ended up with 2 separate rooms which was not what I wanted. I took photos of the rooms.
No windows or tea making facilities.
This mould shouldn’t be there.
This was pathetic two odd sized spoons and two glass coffee mugs.

Room was good, dated but well priced for what it was. Outside the room, walkways, grass, pool, undercover parking the whole outside of building was in very poor condition and in need of repairs and maintenance. Dirty, unkept, needs a tidy and cleanup. Otherwise was a good room but outside let the stay down.

Absolutely appalling and heartless customer service. I booked accommodation and called back within approximately 20 minutes of making the booking to explain that my father had suffered a heart attack the day before. I wasn’t demanding a refund—I simply asked whether the booking could be moved to a later date due to a genuine medical emergency. The answer was an immediate and blunt no, with no attempt at empathy, flexibility, or basic human decency. What followed was even worse: after the initial refusal, my calls were blocked, including when calling from other numbers. This is not a misunderstanding—this was a deliberate refusal to engage. I have recordings of the phone calls, which show how dismissive and rude the interaction was. There was no effort to explain policies properly, no escalation, no manager offered—just a wall put up and communication shut down. Hotels deal with unexpected emergencies every day. Most show at least a minimal level of compassion. This property showed none. If you value customer service, basic humanity, or even just being treated with respect during a family medical emergency, avoid this place entirely. I will be pursuing this matter further through the appropriate consumer channels
