Parking is located offsite and a shuttle provides transportation from the parking lot to the property. In order to reach the offsite parking lot please follow the below instructions. Take the Trans Canada Highway heading west towards Field and Golden, BC. The turnoff to Emerald Lake Lodge is located 1 kilometer west of Field, BC. Follow the road for 8 kilometers until a sign that says 'Overnight Guest Parking.' Turn left into the parking lot. In the parking lot is a cabin. Use the telephone in the cabin to call the front desk. A shuttle will be sent to pick up guests.

The surroundings are beautiful with lake around. The cabin rooms are not maintained properly. Carpet is very old and dirty. Our washbasin with cracks, water not draining properly. The duvet was old and dirty. It’s a beautiful place if maintained properly.

This was our second time staying at Emerald Lake Lodge, the first time was exceptional so we decided to return, however things were not as great this time. Things we love the location, the fire place in the room, the view from the balcony, the Sauna. Things that we didn't like the gass powered carts that are obnoxiously loud with pungent exhaust ran every hour of the nigtht, totally ruined our sleep every night. People go here for the peace, quite and pristine nature not for loud motor noise and exhaust fumes, food quality also seemed to have dropped a bit and prices are higher.

The property is beautiful. The food is delicious. They did run out of Sauvignon blanc and Pino Grigio white wine. The staff is friendly. My only negative about the place, the rooms are tired looking. We were married at Emerald Lake 25 years ago and came back to celebrate. Same furniture. Bathrooms need an update. We were disappointed the very large jacuzzi (like a small pool) had been replaced by a small jacuzzi. This was our sixth stay at Emerald Lake - the property is beautiful, however accommodations definitely need an upgrade.

The views were breathtaking. Loved the loop aroundcthe lake. Easy trail, perfect distance, gorgeous views! Spent 2 nights. One night in a smaller partial lake view and one night in the larger lakeview room! What a difference with size and views! Would recommend to upgrade and book that room if available.

This is a charming and unic location but the condition of the rooms need attention (dark paint marks on ceiling, spills on doors, bath tub with marks and is very old). There were some nice upgrades made to the rooms as far as decoration and furniture. During my stayover cleaning they removed my top sheet and basically only had a duvet for the night which is odd. Service is great, food is very good.
