Room was clean and quiet. Excellent location with amazing views. We just walked 50 feet outside the hotel and we were on the trail of the south rim. So glad we stayed here. We definitely recommend this hotel.

The problem wasn't with the staff at the lodge, it was with Expedia. They had not notified the lodge of my reservations so they had no record of me even having booked a room there. Thankfully the women I spoke to on the phone from the lodge was very helpful and was finally able to comfirm my reservations. I was hoping for a better view of the canyon from our room for the price, the view was obstructed by the roof top of the lower floor rooms which was disappointing. The only other issue was the man at the counter during check in and check out, he wasn't friendly at all.

Check in was easy and staff was great! The room was exactly what we were looking for…proximity/views of the canyon. Our “partial view” room had a much better view than I was expecting! The room was a bit drafty (a winter storm rolled in while we were there) which is the only reason I didn’t give a 5 star review.
