Pretty country gîte for 2-5 people, close to the Drôme and Ardèche mountains
This charming country cottage the beaver, is ideally located just 10 minutes from the A7 motorway exit, yet enjoys peace and quiet in the heart of beautiful, unspoiled nature. It offers complete privacy, a lovely outdoor space, a pétanque court, and a large adjoining garden.
Close to the vineyards and renowned fruit orchards of our region, and near the Drôme mountains and not far from the Ardèche and Vercors mountains, it's perfect for hiking and mountain biking enthusiasts. You can also admire the legendary lavender fields and our wonderfully mild climate.

The Drôme River nature reserve begins 400 meters away. It's home to beaver colonies… hence the name of this gîte (holiday cottage). You can also cool off and find beautiful swimming spots on the Gervanne and Roanne rivers!
Located 30 minutes from the Drôme Provençale region, 30 minutes from two major cities, Valence and Montélimar, 1 hour from Lyon and Avignon, 2 hours from Marseille, 1 hour from the nearest ski resorts, and 1 hour 30 minutes from the Mediterranean Sea, this gîte offers you the opportunity to discover many major tourist attractions.
Le Castor gîte provides the perfect setting for relaxation, rest, exploration, and hiking, while being just 5 minutes from a small shopping area.
The gîte is open year-round, with each season offering its own activities and delights:

Heating and air conditioning are provided by a new heat pump (open year-round) and a wood-burning stove for cozy evenings.
The living room:
It is arranged around the wood-burning stove in winter and opens onto the outdoor space in summer.
Fully equipped kitchen
Completely equipped: Dishwasher, microwave, 2 refrigerators (one with a freezer compartment), toaster, TASSIMO MY WAY 2 coffee machine, electric coffee maker, extra-large electric griddle, dishes and utensils for 5 people.
Upstairs on the mezzanine, there is another relaxation or reading area with a chaise longue and armchairs, as well as board games and a children's and adult library.
Outdoor games (molky, badminton, ball) are also available. Please bring your own pétanque balls, or you can rent them.
The Bedrooms:
One bedroom on the ground floor with a queen-size bed (160 x 200 cm) and duvet, offering direct access to the terrace and pergola.
Another bedroom upstairs in the attic with three single beds (90 x 200 cm) and duvets.
Bathroom:
On the ground floor, a bathtub, sink, and hairdryer.
Separate toilet on the ground floor.
You also have access to a large laundry room with a washing machine, iron and ironing board, clothes drying rack, and an outdoor clothesline.
An open 28 m² garage and private parking for a second vehicle in front of the cottage.
A large private outdoor area equipped with sun loungers, garden furniture, a barbecue, and a 3m x 5m driftwood pergola, perfect for relaxing in the shade during the day or enjoying pleasant evenings thanks to its lighting.
