On the last day while double checking the room for any personal belongings I pulled the sheet back to find the mattress covered in mold!! I could tell that the hotel was undergoing renovations which the building as well as the room were in great shape given the work.

I really enjoyed my stay. Everytime i go to Gulf Shores this is my hotel!!! I would highly recommend for anyone looking to go there.

This is the 3rd time we’ve stayed here and the past 2 times have been good, but after this last stay we probably won’t be back. We were laying in bed relaxing and 2 maintenance men unlocked the door and came into our room….and instead of apologizing and leaving, they STAYED and kept fixing the cable!! After 5 minutes or so, we decided to leave and when we came back probably an hour or so later the men were gone but they left our door open and all of our belongings were inside. The bath towel had a glob of hair stuck to it, there was a blood stain on one of the pillow cases, and there were plastic wrappers on the bed (maybe from the maintenance men?). Just such a weird experience this time and not very enjoyable. Will try somewhere new next time we are back in town which is unfortunate because the beds are comfy, the location is great, and the price is very fair. Also, the rooms aren’t completely terrible but they are pretty old and dirty. Lots of dirt on the baseboards and in the corners, cracking ceilings, holes in the walls, etc.

Beware Listing is a Catfish!

We checked in late on a Thursday night and had pre-paid for 3 nights but I checked out first thing the next morning because I did not feel safe. The place was a dump, and the pictures do not accurately represent the hotel. The reviews that are listed on the site have to be fake because NO ONE in their right mind would leave a positive review of this place. It was dirty, old and fixtures were all rusted. Bathroom was unclean. The ceiling had red spots all over the ceiling that look like blood at first glance, but it is probably also rust. The door to the outside was broken and didn't close all the way without a hard shove. Hotel was very noisy; other people yelling at all hours of the night and I could hear toilets flushing from neighboring rooms. The beds were on what was a cot like base and the wiring was broken that held the bed up so it was very loud. I tried calling Hotels.com the next morning to ask for a refund because I basically was catfished by the listing. Customer service was no help and said they would get back to me and they never followed up. VERY disappointed with the entire experience and will no longer use hotels.com for any reservations.

Comfy beds and friendly staff

Price was awesome. Staff was amazing and the bed was so comfy it felt like sleeping in a marshmallow hug, but the dryers were out and I desperately needed to do laundry and the water pressure in the shower was less than my travel trailer. This is the only reason for less than 5 stars.

Let's start with the mattress! Worn out, and bows in the middle! The bathroom vent hasn't been clean in a long time. I have pictures of how dirty it is. We took our shoes off so we could be comfy to walk around. After about 30 min out socks were black! They never mop the floors between guest. And this room was right next to the stairs and door. The shock on the door is worn out and does not let the door close easy. It slams!! All day and all night over and over the door slams and scares the crap out of you! Save your money and go to a place that is taken care of better and where they actually clean!
