If dining is your thing, then a visit to Tavistock with numerous bars and restaurants awaits, it is well worth a visit on one of the market days. If you are looking for something for the children to enjoy, the area delivers everything from segway adventures, donkey parks, Crealy Theme Park, and Adrenalin Valley for the more adventurous. The lovely local village of Calstock is well worth a visit, you can also venture further afield to busy Plymouth or head for some of the best beaches that the UK has to offer in Cornwall.
