As a loyal member of Marriott, I am very disappointed with this hotel: 1. I informed the front desk that my checkout time would be 12 noon, and they agreed. However, they knocked on my door around 10am and then called before 11am. 2. The front desk told me lunch would be served around 11:20am. When I arrived at the restaurant, there was no staff present—just guests sitting around. We found a table and sat down. When I went to the concierge for information, I was told we were not allowed to sit at that table. I had to leave without eating. 3. At the valet, they took my ticket and forgot about us. We waited in cold, windy weather for 20 minutes before they realized their mistake. 4. I arrived around 4pm yesterday, but my room was not ready. I had to wait over an hour. It was my birthday and no one cared. It was my worst birthday trip ever. I feel disrespected by this experience and will not be returning.

Upon checking in, we had asked the Bowman to find a vase for some flowers I had purchased from my wife for her anniversary. He said he would do so and yet never returned to the room, nor did he call indicating that he was unsuccessful in finding of us. This may be a little thing, but at a resort of this caliber, one would expect the staff to be much more attentive

Some positives: Registration clerk and dining room staff were excellent. All the scenic views were incredible! Some negatives: Parking guard was not very welcoming, and when we asked a housekeeper for directions to her room, she was very unfriendly. For dine-in room service, we ordered two items. It took over an hour, and they only brought one of the two items, as one was forgotten. The shampoo dispenser was broken, so we had to unscrew the top to get shampoo. The shower head had low pressure. Expected better, especially for $1700 for one night’s stay.

The shower head was old and didn’t drip well. They had an unaccounted for hair dryer because we had none during our stay. I received an email from their staff accusing me of it being missing. Once I called them, then they were apologetic. That doesn’t change the fact that it was ridiculous to try to accuse me Menu food options are very limited in the inside and outside restaurants. Regular staff was very nice. My server was a very nice lady. Bagpipe player was amazing Views from my room were amazing
