The stay here was lovely. The room was really beautiful and had absolutely everything we needed. The check in, however, wasn’t great. I think because we booked through Expedia and not directly through Cameo. I’d tried several times to check in online but couldn’t access my confirmation # for whatever reason. I called cameo, and of course because they’re fully automated, I hit a dead end, and the Expedia chat- bot kept looping me around too, until I told him I wanted to chat with a real person. The Expedia rep was super helpful and got me what I needed- not without a lot of frustration first

I received warning when I booked that the property was loud, but since I don't mind noise I thought it would be fine. My room was directly above a bar patio, and for the first few nights it was indeed loud - music, laughter, the usual - but manageable. Then Saturday night came along. Oh. My God. There was a DJ on the patio, and it was so insanely loud that the windows shook, the bed vibrated, and even my chest cavity vibrated. It was beyond loud - it was deafening. It was torture. It went on until 2:00am. It was like they were blasting the music from within the hotel room. I asked for another place to sleep, but the text response an hour later was 'we told you it was loud'. Loud is one thing. Defeaning is another. It should be illegal to charge people to stay here on the weekend. This is akin to saying the room runs cold, then you discover you have to sleep in a walk-in freezer. This shouldn't be on the market. DO NOY STAY HERE unless you yourself plan to stay out until after 2:00am. I have a high tolerance for noise, but this was beyond anything any human could be expected to endure. It ruined my night and the entire next day. The absolute worst.

This property is self-serve; there is no one on site to deal with issues, and you can only communicate through text messages—they won’t even talk on the phone to resolve issues. We were charged twice for our stay, due to a change in the property’s accounting/payment system. I still am trying to get one of the charges resolved/reversed, both through the property & my credit card company. The rooms are well-appointed, but the walls are paper-thin. On our first night’s stay, there was a very loud party in the room next to us that went on until 6:00 am! As there is no staff on site, other than calling the police we had no way to report it, and we did not want to call the police. On a positive note, the rooms are very nice and the location is close to the waterfront, as well as many restaurants, shops & attractions. If the double payment issue ever gets resolved I would possibly stay there again.

This property requires guests to check-in online as no front desk or staff at facility. The office is open by phone Monday to Friday 10:00am to 4:00pm. We had no trouble checking in but didn't like the steep stairs to bedroom and bathroom and unable to talk to anyone about it. Rooms were modern and clean but windows were facing Argyle Street, the entertainment district. Weather was cold so not too noisy at night, but unless you like late night activities, I would not recommend the unit on warm nights as bands and bars do continue until 2am outside. Harbour boardwalk, museums, buses, ferry to Dartmouth, plenty of restaurants are close by.

We checked a few days in advance as recommended and received the codes to get in. When we got here the codes did not work. After 10 minutes we tried calling the number it says to call but no one answered and then we had to check in again Our hands were full, there were several people in the lobby waiting to get in. It was awkward and not cool that no one answered. We are highly techie people so def not user error.

Great location, Confirmation number was still required after doing pre check-in and having all access codes disappointingly still had to use check-in kiosk before code could work. Loved the 1 bedroom suite I was in. Definitely request a room that doesn't look out to a brick wall! (Which I had the following two nights). Fantastic location and being downtown there is the usual amount of noise- but worth it! Easy check in. Just needs a coffee maker :) Highly recommend

I would tell everyone to stay here! The location was good and the noise level was not bad!! The only thing we had a slight hiccup with was getting the access code. When you book through hotel.com you do not get the reservation code they want and the hotel does not offer it to you. I had to message hotel.com and ask for help to get that. I did that before my trip. There were a few other guest trying to get inside having the same issue. Hopefully that is something that could be done easier! Otherwise we loved it all!!
