I have stayed at the Inn on the Lake before and I always enjoy my stay. I love the in room Jacuzzi. The grounds are also lovely in the summer. I was there in the spring so it was getting nice but was still a little too cold to sit outside. However, The room smelled like smoke although it was a non-smoking room. When I first arrived in the room there was no Room service menu, there was also no indication on the paperwork in the room that room service was even an option. Like I said I had stayed before and knew that they did in deed do room service. So, I asked at the desk for a menu and the room service number. When the food did arrive it was not worth the 100$ I paid for it. I was there for a mom's night away and looking forward to some nice food. I was pretty disappointed when the food arrived. I will say it was hot which was great. But, the bacon wrapped scallops were lack luster, the shrimp cocktail had some silly leafy greens and a mayo sauce. I ordered the pan roasted Atlantic salmon. It came with some veggies (which were actually good) and a stupid piped tower of potatoes (please stop doing this). The salmon itself tasted good but seemed a little watery and not roasted by any means. There was no color or caramelization what so ever. I had thought about getting sushi at a nearby restaurant but decided to go with room service instead. That was a mistake.
